Ray was absolutely cookin on this one. This album ruled and I also listened to both volumes but it’s fine because they both kicked ass. I really liked you playing the original song versions because it illustrated how insane the Ray versions were. Big fan, 4/5

(If you want another Shawnime suggestion: Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis.) Ray Charles’ voice is so warm and nostalgic so I was really looking forward to this week. Very cool to hear the original recordings side-by-side, I love a transformative cover. Part two didn’t do as much for me but I still enjoyed it. Happy birthday, Lennon!
