FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS.

OKAY.

This has been in the works for like... MONTHS.

I'm happy to announce that I'm starting a Free Huey Foodbank initiative. It'll be announced on the main channel shortly, however, I wanted you guys to be privy to this first.

The graphics above communicate essentially what the goals of this initative is, and how I plan to execute it. It'll require the support of the channel cause' uhhhh, I'm a black guy in debt and a minimum wage job but hey, that's never stopped me before.

It's something I really want to do regardless.

And, now I'm really excited to announce this next step in the channel, patreon's and even my own personal development.

If you have any questions, suggestions or even concerns learning about this iniative feel free to leave them! I had to come to terms with the fact that I can't do a lot in my current state of affairs. So, this is the most I can do. But, it's better to start now than to start never.

Let's do what we can. I can't wait to finally talk about this on the channel.

FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS. FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS. FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS. FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS. FINALLY, I CAN TALK ABOUT THIS.

I intended to ask only the first one, and then I didn't shut up. Thanks for the answers

In terms of supporting me over the community.... I don't know how to feel to that? But, I will say, the goal of this is to do something for my community with the platform that is my channel. If the channel lives, the foodbank initiative can live. Which means, one cannot exist w/o the other because the channel is where I get the support to do the other. I obviously would like to be out of debt, or feel alittle more free with my wallet. But, that's secondary to helping the community. So, my thing is making sure their needs are met first and foremost.

A lot of questions lol. The majority of the funds for the foodbank initiative come out of my pocket. They have for a while. To support the patreon is to support the foodbank AND support the channel. Now, the obvious problem with this is that I can literally run away and go "tee hee, more money for me" so the goal is to keep expanding on what resources and food we can give. Like you said, the goal isn't just Peckham. In fact, Peckham isn't the only place that the resources will be going to. It's a Southwark Foodbank, meaning that the food/resources will go to Southwark's branches wherever they're needed most. I just work closer with the one in Peckham, but for instance, my goal is to expand to places like Brixton, but that only comes when I can ensure that I can meet these goals consistently.

I feel like this is a stupid ass question, but I'm guessing that the focus for the mutual aid is going to be pretty much only on Peckham High Street, right? Your video says "if you support the food bank initiative on patreon," but how is that happening exactly? Would it be new tiers that will specifically be designed to support the food bank, or would supporting you on any tier now automatically be counting towards supporting the food bank, or is TheStoryteller patreon now really a patreon for the food bank directly, just dba TheStoryteller? Where will you buy your books to make sure they don't become too expensive to continue giving in this mutual aid? Like a used book store or something is where I think I'm getting at? I remember Charlie/Cr1tikal, YouTuber/Streamer, used to consistently post receipts for the charities he donated to back when he started getting YouTube money, but he always blurred them. I'm not sure if this is something he had to do, or something he did for his own internal reason. But what if you had to blur the receipts for whatever reason, how would you provide proof of what you bought and for how much you paid? If the answer to the first question is "yes, focus is only on Peckham High Street", then do you plan to expand what you can do for communities beyond your own if possible? This relates to the last one, and it's honestly extremely selfish, be it from either me going "what would a selfish person think" or maybe these are my own personal thoughts that I just don't want to admit to being projected as "what would a selfish person think". Essentially, if a patreon supporter doesn't feel totally okay with their money going to a community they will most certainly never interact with and would prefer their money to be going to you rather than said unknown community, how would you counter such a possible concern to those who would feel that way? The person could comment that they could just support some place local and wants to support you for you and your work for you to expand, and think that a food bank will just hinder any possible expansion of yours that to some people, will already be "enough" when it comes to some type of action. "This leftist dude online talking stuff I like, I want them to spread the message more and get bigger, so I'm going to give them money so they can do just that". Though I think you already addressed the latter part of text in your video already.

Nah, for the record, I don't even read books explicitly about socialism. I think it's entirely down to what the community votes for. Prisons, Autobiographies, Diaries, etc. It could be anything.

Is it all gonna be, like, books about socialism? This sounds like a cool project though. I hope it does well.
