TM-Modding track mods

The list of track mods released under the Trained Monkey Modding flag. All these projects were done by me, with help of some of my friends from the AC modding scene. Initially, I started to do minor modifications to the tracks when we started running community racing events and we wanted to add some pits or branding to the tracks.

Later I tried to fix some issues when our drivers found something wrong with the track. I dealt mostly with optimization issues, because when we started, most simracers from our local community were running cheap PCs and "CPU Occupancy 99%" was one of the most frequent issues. While researching how to optimize the tracks, I learned a lot about how it all works and how to take advantage of various possiblities of AC engine.  I started to do some conversions from rfactor 2 which were pretty easy to do, and it all culminated by starting my own scratch made project - the Slovakia Ring.

Slovakia Ring 1.5

My biggest, most dificult project I have ever worked on. Took over 2 years to complete, but I gained tons of experience in modeling and overal track making.  Project fully supported by the Slovakia Ring management, praised by a lot of real drivers for the accuracy and overal complexity.  I am really proud of this one. Project is still "alive" and I am still trying to improve it. I plan to convert it to different sims. It already has rFactor 2 version, converted by my friends at SimRacingTeam.

Lausitzring (1.51)

rFactor 2 conversion of the well know German racing circuit.  We needed this track for our first Octavia Cup championship and since there was no good AC version at that moment, I had to look for another options. Luckily I found the track in rfactor 2 in decent shape, so I asked the owner for permission to convert it and I think the conversion ended up quite decent. First track which featured something animated - the big windmill behind the track.

Oschersleben (2.0)

The track with the same history like Lausitzring. We needed it, I found it, got the permission, converted it and we drove it in our championship. I personaly like this track, it has nice flow and looks decent. Recently a laserscanned version appeared on the RaceDepartment but the project was abandoned. I already spoke with the author, if I will enough time, I will try to finish his job, would be nice to have accurate version of the track, now when the track is quite popular in real life racing.

Circuit de Pau-Ville (1.0)

Very interesting street circuit, again conversion from the same source - Digga (SimRacingTeam). I converted more of his tracks, now he is converting mine :) This one was not only converted but I slightly improved geometry in some important places. Used for our championship couple of years ago, than forgotten a little, until last year when real TCR Europe visited this venue in real life.

Autodrom Most (2.1)

If I remember correctly, this was my first ever rf2 conversion. Because in our Czechoslovak community, this was the most demanded track and couldn't be left out from any championship. Simply a must. This track was converted from rfactor 2 again, but slightly improved according to real racing driver's feedback. I did not touch the track since better version from Reboot Team came out, but if someone wants to try it, here is the link.

Sachsenring (1.0)

This track was not very demanded in our community but I did it anyways. I played a lot with animations and custom track sounds around the track. To be honest, I dont even know whether they still work or not, since Gunnars far better version came out, there was no point in using this track. But still, I am putting it here as my history record :)

Dobลกinรก Hillclimb (0.9)

My version of Slovak hillclimb track - Dobลกinรก. It was never released publicly but I used it with my friends to occasional fun events. It is rfactor 1 conversion and it is quite visible, but I tried to make it look as good as I could. I like this track, I already have laserscanned data of this track, but don't have time to process it.  If I will do another scratch made project in the future, most likely it will be this track. Love the flow of it, even in this version...

Ok then. Might as well just be the car I use... Very good job with the tracks! Keep it up! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ

I spoke to a real driver who drove Octavia Cup there and he said that IRL the track feels even bumpier than in simulator :)

Roman Fusaty

Just love the Slovakia Ring!! One of the best made track mods for AC ever!! Any chance you could make the Lausitzring less bumpy? I can personally only compare with YouTube videos and onboards, but it just feels like its way more bumpy than in real life.
