Despite looking like a model, Marta has her father’s brains and might be smarter then he is. Wanting attention, Marta took some of her father’s failed tech and made her own power suit, laser cannons and other tech tools.
Marta would normally join hero teams by just showing up, and giving her advice on what she wanted done. It wasn’t until she was humiliated by Katt in front of the public, that she left C.H.A.R.G.E and formed The Mavericks.
The Mavericks suddenly began making headlines “Fighting Crime and Looking Fabulous” by defeating villains left and right. The heroes rightfully suspect something’s wrong and assume The Mavericks are hiring criminals to commit crimes and then take dives. The heroes no doubt want to expose her because she’s making them look bad, but they may first have to come to her aid when one of her hired villains decides a change of plans is in order.
They are also known for making very public attacks on crime bosses.
