2026-02-05 21:48:36 +0000 UTCone thing i really like about this episode is the narrator referring to the gungi champion’s intellect as “strength.” it would’ve been easy to emphasise a difference between physical prowess and intelligence, but to meruem, prowess and intelligence are on equal footing, so it puts the champion on his level. similarly to how he tried to kill neferpitou when they disrespected him and immediately earned his respect back by withstanding the attack. the character writing in this arc is interesting

And he accepts without any qualms, whilst also not having anything negative to say about her obvious physical draw backs, he doesn't treats this blind woman any different at all even after she requests something from him, it's sad that he's literally more accepting that some irl humans I know/have met...
