I'm sure some people have commented before, but it would be great to see your reaction to the endings as well, at least once. Some anime series have just as great endings as openings.

Season 1 was action packed, yes and the closest the series comes to being a generic shonen but Season 2 is so, so much better. An actual masterpiece of a season that explores many themes and beliefs. True fans of vinland endearingly refer to season 2 as farmland saga. The truth is, this season is what actually made me fall in love with Vinland.

I’m not going to lie, this is one of my personal favorites in the series because of what it means to me. I was in a deep depression due to combat related PTSD and felt very similar to Thorfinn here. Einar’s reminder that “someone kept you alive” (or let you live in the dub) rings in my ear almost daily…. A reminder to show gratitude for the life I have, despite the things that have happened in it. To have perspective on all the good things that have actually happened to me. Everyone needs someone like Einar in their life. I’m not kidding when I say this story helped save mine.
