Just a fun fact, in the original 1999 show, there's a soundtrack called "To The East", the title references the prophecy that says Chrollo will find the nen exorcist in Greed Island and the song is just beautiful, it's supposed to be Chrollo's main theme. I recommend you guys to listen to, I'm sure you'll love it.

2025-09-27 12:51:09 +0000 UTCHey Kenny! a youtube channel that covers hunter x hunter exclusively just dropped a really interesting video that will give you amazing background insight into the author and details about the production process of the ongoing manga. the best part, and why I recommend you watch it, is because there are no spoilers for the story at all. (as long as you only watch the first 6 minutes, the time code to stop watching and avoid spoilers is @6:45) the closest thing to a spoiler is the person using the name of the current arc in the manga, and so, so much has happened in the story after the show ends. the video is titled "massive hunter x hunter news" by the channel "new world review" he also pays artists to create the art in his videos, just like you guys. 2025-08-23 23:22:35 +0000 UTCthe Questions to consider when thinking about Nen Exorcism: 1, Would a secondary condition even be able to activate to kill Chrollo given the Nen itself would be removed by the Exorcist? Think about it if the ability were to be cancelled, I don't think the ability would be able to respond. To put things in MHA terms if Stars and Stripes put a condition on herself that ONCE her Power was erased X would happen- not, when Aizawa attempts to use Erasure but once her power has been erased would that law be able to come into effect considering that the power it was sourced from was erased? I'd argue no. 2, The second question is whether Chrollo would have to bear the burden of whatever backlash there would be or the Exorcist? So far we've seen one person with a Nen Exorcism ability (the guy who removed the bomb from his shoulder) and the tradeoff for that was the spirit that remained on his shoulder. If the Exorcist takes on the Burden of the Nen Curse in a more manageable form doesn't that mean that the Exorcist would also suffer from whatever contingency clause was present in the ability? Just want to raise these questions to give you something to think about when discussing the future of the troupe and Chrollo :)

Back in the hunter exam arc netero mentions that theirs a pattern in the hunter exam where they go years with no rookies passing and then Suddenly they get a whole bunch of promising rookies who pass. What was only mentioned in the manga at some point however is that their is also a pattern where every so often only 1 person passes the exam in a year like killua did here and the last person to do it before killua was gon’s father.
