His other famous work One Punch Man actually has two versions: his...rougher original webtoon where he does all the art, and the manga version with a different artist Yusuke Murata re-drawing everything. (It's kinda proof that if you wanna take on a creative project, don't wait and be held off by wanting your skill to be "good enough".) I'm super intrigued by how this show keeps the goofy look of the manga intact but is done with incredible skill and crazy-good animation. It's truly something special

2025-06-06 17:47:25 +0000 UTCFun fact 3:15 The title mob psycho 100 caused a lot of misunderstandings between eastern and western audiences In the West it was interpreted as Mob = Mafia Psycho = Psychopath While in the east it was meant as Mob= NPC, one in the masses, Mob as in faceless crowd Psycho= psychokinetic, esper So western audiences were expecting a gangster psychopathic killer or something while eastern audiences were expecting a nobody/loser with supernatural powers lol

2025-06-06 15:37:35 +0000 UTCI'm glad you guys enjoy and appreciate the animation. I think theres a good number off people that would give up right after episode one, just because its so jarring. Side note: Totally unrelated to the episode but Kenny you mentioned your D&D character has low intelligence, it got me wondering how do you pull that off while playing? Do you intentionally act dumb(ffor lack of a better word) or does it just effect dice rolls, in a negative way of course. I dont think I need to say how little I know about D&D and playing it. The most I know comes from Vox, probably not the best source of knowledge😅. But it has gotten me intrigued.

2025-06-06 14:42:55 +0000 UTCI know you guys have mentioned having trouble with subtitles, but they might be necessary because it seems important translation text is often missing whenever japanese characters appear on screen. The show uses this kind of on-screen text A LOT so it's somewhat important. Maybe keeping subtitles on and pausing is a good middle ground. either way, incredibly excited for you to experience this incredible and wholesome show. My favorite alongside vinland saga
