I know you're excited because you're mostly blind outside of whatever's been spoiled, but the constant pausing and interrupting causes you to miss some moments and makes it less smooth than it was for the previous 6 seasons, since you have to replay moments.

While I love the idea of Heroes Rising being the reason he can see the vestige of All Might, because it is one of my all time favorite movies, I donāt know if they would incorporate such a huge moment in the show based off the movies. I know they are canon, but still! Thatās when I really wondering if they were related. Maybe a very tiny part of O4A was passed through their bloodline?? Also, maybe AFO knows the connection between the two and thatās another reason why Bakugo was kidnapped in season 3? It was just another way for AFO to get back at the 2nd even way after he is gone? Cause we all know AFO loves to use family connections against people (Shiggy/Nana, Dabi/Endeavor) š¤·š»āāļø Regardless, I am fascinated by the 2nd O4A user and I want to know everything about him.

In both moments, we see the sudden potential someone has to put up a fight against the villain. Only to have that potential IMMEDIATELY stolen from us. The idea KNOWING they had SO much potential and losing it hits different. This episode certainly fed my "he HAS to still have some O4A left in him" side! (Between the eye animation and the vestige being the tip off) Also, as yall noted. The VA KILLED IT this episode (the original Japanese VA also did phenomenal!)

When Kenny and Montana watched the first ending at the beginning of the season Kenny said something like āwho is the third person?ā Referring to the three people holding the All Might cards. I automatically knew that was bad news. We had just seen scenes with Shoji, Ochaco, and Shoto with the younger and older versions of themselves together. Then we see the All Might cards, which we know are Deku and Bakugo, but only one older person with a card appears with them. Since the beginning I took that as Bakugo was missing. So, that plus the scene that you are referring to in the opening already set up an ominous situation for our boy this season. š„ŗ

The thing that is so impressive about Bakugo is that he's been ahead of Deku the entire story up until S6 despite Deku having All Might's power. Bakugo is doing it all with his own quirk. Cluster was a technique he developed while training with Endeavor.

Also regarding Shiggy saying "Would Golden Age All Might be hurt by this attack" he wasn't being egotistical his body is pretty much on par with Golden Age All Might at this point in the story with all the enhancements he received, that's why the other Hero's basically have no affect on him. Like Melissa and David, the kids deku saved, etc. Also Horikoshi himself mentioned that the movies as well as vigilante are canon. Why would these characters appear in this season anime and in the manga when they're not canon and haven't appeared before? The fact that that haven't happened in the manga doesn't make it confusing at all bc most if not all fans have seen the movies or know roughly what happened through osmosis especially in Japan. Also bc the movies were written in a way that the story could still be understood without. Melissa and David are named and shown in the anime and manga but you only really get to know them in the movie but when they're mentioned in the manga/anime you still can understand the story without knowing who they are. When in later ep this season you see the kids from the moviethats deku saved then you either recognize them or you just think they're random kids, either way it still works. They're kinda written like filler but are canon. Horikoshi confirmed it himself too

The scene wouldāve been there either way for bakugos arc and the card moment but he chose it to be vestige all might instead of just a regular all might in his imagination for a reason.

Are they related? Or does Bakugo just remind AFO of him? I audibly gasped when they showed the 2nd in that moment because I totally thought it meant they were related to each other. But when no one else I watch on YouTube or on here mentioned it, I started thinking maybe I was looking too much into it š (I am anime only for MHA, so I obviously HAVE NO IDEA but I had to get it off my chest because it has been driving me crazy for the past several months lol )

Only a little, since this goes into spoiler territory, but long story short, Endeavorās atonement is pretty half-assed as a story beat, which sucks because his āI want to atoneā line is one of my favorite moments, but itās aged super poorly because as of right now, his only act of atonement that he isnāt actively forced into doing was done directly after that speech. Everything else has been hero-work related. Like, him fighting the villains super well and āhelping the younger generationā straight up isnāt atonement by definition. And Iād give the character more leeway if Toya wasnāt right there on the battlefield wanting to confront Enji, but instead the story just prevents that from happening even though Toya is basically on a time limit now. It makes Endeavorās āI need to keep looking after Toyaā line feel like a super disingenuous joke instead of an actual promise (the reasoning for this also delves into spoilers). As a realistic depiction of a man who grew guilt for his actions, Enjiās pretty good, but as a character with an arc about making amends and atoning? Heās honestly a copout at best. I think last episode kind of has the best example of this where rather than the story having him actually atone with his actions, it instead has him have a metaphorical conversation in his brain about changing again. This being seen as a massive step for the character just feels disingenuous again since rather than watching him progress and let his actions speak for him, the story instead opts for him just being perpetually stuck in the process of finding out what heās done wrong while things get actively worse. And again, I canāt really go into much detail since thereās obviously more to come this season (and in the manga), but as it stands, Enjiās a perfect example for me of how not to write an arc about atoning, because it half-asses the most important thing, his actions. And as a former fan of Endeavor, this hurts to say.

I ended up watching this episode over again a few days after it premiered and I bawled like a baby. And to this day this episode is still so hard to watch. Itās beautiful and it was the perfect send off for my favorite character (in all of anime, not just MHA), but dang, it hurts so bad. š Bakugo thinking back on Deku, the All Might cardā¦ (I also read that if you go back and watch the episodes where Bakugo and All Might are around each other, Bakugo had his hand in his pocket MEANING HE ALWAYS HAD THE CARD WITH HIM and was always wanting to ask him for an autograph.) and in the Manga it said something like ālooks like I lost my chance to ask you this..ā pain. All pain. I canāt handle it.

They had that happen in the movie and it was Horikoshi's scrapped idea of one of his final endings where Deku lets bakugo use one for all with him in the final battle but Horikoshi wanted something better for the finale so it was thrown into the movie. Bakugo seeing the vestige ghost of all might is just symbolizing him speaking to all might about how he feels.

My thought is that hori made heroes canon using this method. 1: bakugo had OFA, and in that moment those embers merged with him, and like all might said the embers chose to stay or go, but this statement DOESNT mean they canāt exist freely within multiple usersš¤·š½āāļø. 2: the convo between might and bakugo happened during the end of heroes when they both were knocked out. Might was making contact watching over him, just like with deku and thatās when their convo took place. OFA can do some much more than when it started, so obviously this is all speculation, but I think hori is clearly feeding peopleās thoughts purposefully

(His sweat wasn't just leaking out all over his skin, but all over his body.) Shigaraki hit his chest, triggering Bakugo's sweat to explode, destroying his heart.

Means a lot to fans of the movie, but you don't need the context because non-movie watchers will just think it's symbolism. I love it so much because Hori managed to work it into such an emotional scene with so much meaning to the character.

Episode 9 was the beginning of the fight between All for One and the Top 2 heroes and they had a good strategy get bogged down by his taunting Endeavor. However, this was made up for by Jiro getting her big moment in this episode and extending into the next one. But this was not Tokoyami's big moment. No that is still to come. Episode 10 continues where 9 left off and gave us, in my personal opinion, Patrick Seitz's best vocal performance of Endeavor since the High End Nomu fight. Yet even that Prominence Burn wasn't enough to put AFO down for good . . . yet. You'll see what I mean, in the next episode he appears in. And now for Episode 11, good Lord, this episode. This is the first of The Big 5 episodes of this season in terms of emotional heavyweights. Bakugo's death literally broke the internet. And not gonna lie, I thought someone from The Big 3 was dying here instead. That card was the object in the credits I was eluding to in my hints. Needless to say, they did not pull punches for this season. And wanna know the crazy thing, to me at least, that isn't even the most emotional death of the season. I'll just let that sink in.
