Dubbed anime is not nearly as bad as people claim it to be MOST of the time but at least try the subbed if you can? its just the voice actor for Frieren the main protagonist just sounds so much better in subbed.

I definitely enjoyed it and appreciated it from the beginning, especially for the vibes and art style etc., but didn’t feel fully hooked until maybe the episode 6-8 mark. That also may have fully been on me and how I was watching it, but just a heads up
