So much more character depth and bigger plot lines (but to be fair there are more HB episodes) Also one of the in universe elements relating to a character from HB is referenced in this show by the robotic servants that Val keeps around. Overall definitely a good watch especially after watching HH

Her entire original deal was that she didn't want to be a subordinate to Adam, she didn't want to be with him, didn't want to be his wife...she's all about liberation and autonomy so I can see a world where she feels like her rebellion attempts failed against Heaven so now she just takes a deal to get away from it all and be by herself.

2024-10-22 18:41:36 +0000 UTCAnother random thought about the redeemed sinner thing and I think Montanna was about to touch on this is - "if they know it's possible to get into heaven and they only become 'better' to get into heaven, are they really doing it for a good reason?" I think Serpentious got into heaven because he had changed his ways and he sacrificed himself for his friends thinking it would be his very last act ever.

Like did Sir Pentious have to die a specific way for the (metaphorical) scales to weigh him again? Could Angel Dust have had the same thing happen? Could his deal with Valentino perhaps interfere with it somehow if he did? Lots of interesting specifics to work with.

Set in the same exact universe as Hazbin Hotel, but where HaHo focuses on Sinners and Angels, HeBo focuses on Hellborn and Earth a bit. It also has songs but its not exactly *intended* to be a musical like HaHo is. I think S2 starts to have at least one per episode, S1 has a couple episodes without a song but there's still a lot.

Then Sir Pentious literally goes right after him to “stick it to the man” while being selfless and using his own tech (not stealing) and WHAMO! I wonder if that’s how Heaven is going to spin it in season 2. That Adam “sacrificed” himself to allow a sinner in and that with him gone, it’s now completely impossible.

Like, end of S2 or s3, he will manipulate events so that Charlie is transferred ownership of his deal somehow and then he's going to call in his favor to force her to free him, setting him up to be a major antagonist for s3 or 4.

2024-10-21 18:02:19 +0000 UTCI was thinking that since Lilith made a deal with the angels for the extermination most likely so she can be in heaven for as long as she wants (7 years so far) it's kinda like when someone who advocates or is the influential voice speaking up for an underprivileged group ends up taking the easier deal for them and basically leaving the group they advocated for to be led the slaughter. Also, Charlie thinks that Lucifer was the one who made the deal with the angels for the extermination day which makes me think that he's been taking the blame so Charlie doesn't see Lilith as a betrayer or starts hating her. These were my thoughts bc Hazbin is really good with symbolism and metaphor about contradictions in morality and ethics among humanity that claim such traits.

2024-10-21 17:54:32 +0000 UTCI believe the deal Lucifer had with Heaven regarding the Extermination has a clause that the Hell-born were to be spared (Explained by Adam in ep1). So most likely Lucifer couldn't get involved until Charlie's life was in danger. That's why he showed up when he did. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE: The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 has been absolutely phenomenal so far. I highly recommend going there after Arcane S2.

So I think he wasn't allowed to interfere until Adam tried to attack Charlie. That may be why he shows up later. And with how heaven will react, they may react poorly but Lucifer and Charlie can argue than heaven broke the agreement they had first and so Charlie and them has a right to defend themselves. That's just what I think though

2024-10-21 15:11:57 +0000 UTCI got a few theories for this show with this ending. With Lilith, it was said that she made hell more powerful. What if thst wasn't just a metaphor for her caring about the kingdom and working to makmake it better. What if her presence literally was boosting hell and she left as a deal to eventually stop the exterminations. Basically she was causing hell to grow insanely powerful and without her it can get to manageable numbers. Or what if she was pregnant and left to not raise another child in hell? Emily is a lot like Charlie. Got no idea how that works age wise. Another theory i got js that Emily is going open up another hotel in heaven. One designed to integrate Ser Pentous and others into heaven and try to avoid a huge shift. Overall great show and sseason. I am torned on why Serra looked horrified. Either this totally messes up the ecosystem of heaven and going cause problems or she been needlessly sending angels to hell to kill souls that could have been saved and now the guilt is hitting her hard. I don't think we will get a god because it seems like they're replacing god with just angels themselves. It's saidnthe other angels banished lucifer not god. Also last note and sorry for the paragraphs but it should be noted that Christianity and Judaism are not as concrete in the story as people thibk and a lot of concepts associated with Christianity are myths not in the Bible. Lucifer is mentioned only once or twice and there irs unclear what is being referred to but it seems like a reference tk a king. The word satan is not used a lot either but it means adversary and is used both for mortals and as a title of an angel in God's court who is charged with challenging him. He's certainly wasn't a fallen one until Christianity and even then it's unclear if he's the same entity as lucifer and the devil with all 3 being separate. And the goat images usually associate and how we look at hell didn't occur until a few centuries ago. Fun to see a show olay with this sandbox.

Sorry to dissapoint, that is not how this ends" Is likely him being angry that if he had died there, he'd be remembered for seemingly caring about the others at the hotel. Also, I doubt alastor is an angel. What he said about wings was likely not literal

He allowed exterminations, but only if they didn't target hellborns(like charlie). So Adam broke the deal wither by killing dazzle or specifically saying he was ready to kill charlie, allowing lucifer to then get involved and punish Adam
