Quite the coincidence that 5 out of the 6 survivors go on a raid together. Shame we never found out what happened to the 6 survivor after the first dungeon in either the Manwa or the Light Novel. She was never mentioned again.

2024-08-22 18:18:26 +0000 UTCSure but community service doesnt have a financial incentive for the jailor. My point is that its a slippery slope of providing an incintive to jail more people for less severe crimes and hand out harsher punishments to feed back into this system that otherwise wouldnt have been given as long of a sentence in the past or hell even given jail time in the past but now theres a gain to be had from doing so.

2024-08-22 12:15:54 +0000 UTCI kinda agree and disagree at the same time. I mean, I don't think it's that unethical to offer this option, but like someone said in another comment, it should depend of the offend committed. But if you're in jail, that means that you wrong the society (but not following a certain rule), so "working for free" is actually paying your dept to that society, and in return, you're still "paid" by a reduced sentence. I mean, isn't that the point of Community Service (without the "I could be killed by a monster at any time obviously haha)? Hope I make sense

2024-08-21 19:13:00 +0000 UTCI agree with montana that its unethical because theres a financial incentive to incarcerate more people with harsher sentences and then say if you want out early do free labor for us while we reap the profit. Who knows if thats exactly whats happening here but it is what happens in the real world. When there is an option to extract free labor, prisons and their systems will find a way to ensure their labor force swells.

2024-08-21 15:24:44 +0000 UTCI can see how the "reduce your sentence" system would be ok... depending on the crime committed Someone who murdered/raped someone (or similar extremes) I don't think should be given that option. (Which given the initial vibes of these particular criminals...it feels like they likely fall into this category) Non violent offenders, it makes a little more sense at least.
