i think the post credits thing with Rengoku was more of a beyond the grave "You can do it!" like what both Tanjiro and Nezuko have both experianced multiple times with their dead family members in times of crisis - learning Hinokami - Nezuko's first use of Blood Demon Art - "What you must cut lies within your reach" from Mugen Train - "TANJIRO BREATHE!" from the Entertainment District Arc

Don't forget about Nakime. While she's technically the weakest of the Upper Moons, she's the one in full control of the Infinity Castle. Nakime will definitely be a problem for the Corps in the trilogy. As for Akaza, we still haven't seen him go all out. Remember, he was toying with Rengoku for most of their fight.

Something that is not mentioned is that in the DS world, the spirits of those who are important to you are always with you, that's why there are so many memories and ghosts in some episodes... its fair to say for your own expectations that at this point in the story Tanjiro is like mid hashira level so honestly think Tengen and Rengoku level maybe slightly lower in my opinon.

Agreed. If I could add one teensy, tiny detail, it would be showing glimpses of the Upper Moons in the Infinity Castle once the Demon Slayer Corps got sucked in. Akaza, Doma, and Kokushibo were in the OP this season, snd yet they didn't appear at ALL, which I find odd.

I mean, I just don't really think it's to show for me. It's not bad. But it does have a lot of weaknesses, but that's just one person's opinion, You know? I mean even the shows that are my favorite have their weaknesses as well. And if I wanna see heroes killed, I'll rewatch JJK all day Lol But I'm glad you like it though. What I personally like in this show, forgetting the insane animation and the music (because duh), is the fast that it kind of seems realistic compared to other shows. I mean, I've seen too much stories where the author is afraid of killing the good guys, so there is no real "tension" because you already know no one is doomed. Here, Rengoku was killed and a lot of demon slayers too. Even the master died before he can see his dream fulfilled (well you could argue that Rengoku has been the only "important" casualty for now I guess). And the other reason is the fact that it takes FOREVER for the MCs to heal from injuries, which do not heal that easily too (sometimes months at the Butterfly Mansion) where is some anime, the MC will only exit a fight with a bruise even if he took insane hits lol. Sorry for the long answer, but I wanted to share why I'm hyped with that show! Hope you'll like the rest of the series too!

Possible spoilers: I don't believe the next three movies will finish the series, as the arc they're said to be covering (Infinity Castle arc) is only HALF of the final battle. I could totally be wrong, but they adapted 1.5 volumes of the manga into the Mugen Train arc, so I find it pretty unlikely that they'll choose to cram the remaining 7 volumes of the story into three movies.

AFAIK (I have NOT read the manga, so this just based on stuff I've seen in the manga), Rengoku is, in fact, dead. However, we've seen him appear in a sort of spirit form in the Taisho Era Secret segments before (one that comes to mind is during the Entertainment District Arc), and the series has constantly referenced how he influenced all of the Hashira (and Tanjiro) and how his life and death has continued affected all of them. It could be said that he had a similar influence that Ubuyashiki had. His death pushed all of the Hashira to get better and to be as good as Rengoku was (in both skill and spirit). (Again, this was brought up by the Sound Hashira in the Entertainment District Arc.) In a sense, even in his death, he will be with them fighting against Muzan. This is reinforced by the fact that the theme that plays in the final minutes of the episode as everyone descends into the Infinity Castle contains elements of Rengoku's theme. -------- As an aside, we have also seen Tanjiro's own family speaking to Tanjiro and Nezuko. See, for example, Season 1 Episode 19 ("Hinokami"), which is when Nezuko's mom wakes Nezuko up to use her Blood Demon Art, or Episode 6 of the Entertainment District Arc ("Layered Memories"), when Tanjiro's brother and sister get him to breathe normally again after he almost beheaded Daki single-handedly. Their whole family also said their goodbyes to Tanjiro and Nezuko during the series premiere. There's also the spirits of the dead children that Tanjiro saw while he was trying to slice the boulder Urokodaki showed him in season 1. So Rengoku isn't the only one who returns in spirit form. But none of the spirits besides the ones who trained Tanjiro to slice the boulder have done anything more than talk to the living, and it's unknown if the living actually heard them outside of the Taisho Era Secret segments. Tanjiro and Nezuko were unconscious whenever their family spoke to them. Some religions do believe that, in a spiritual sense, you're closest to death whenever you're asleep.
