Hi all. Back this week with the second half of the second part during which I misspelled Holcomb literally every single time.
If you're curious why this isn't Part III, it's because I have this whole concept blocked off into four different major events. The first is the initial transformation that happened in Part 1. The second is the initial action and local transformations that happen in the 17k chunk that I'm calling Part II. I think it's too long, and I've been fighting to keep down the length since so much of it is jargony. At the same time, the sex scenes can be elaborated on some more.
The third part will focus on battles in 1945 when the divergence in the timeline gets stronger. That will also swing back toward the horror-esque tone of Part I's "shit-hitting-fan" scenes.
The fourth part concerns what happens as the war with Germany resolves and Company X is reassigned. Along with knocking out the lingering parts of the frame story with Redd and Graham.
Writing this keeps me in the weeds, though. I get distracted trying to get the proper names of guns or whatever because it bugs me if I don't. So, I'll probably put it on the back burner again for another little while so I can get out some of this other stuff that I've been executive dysfunctioning on.
