Nymph 2.0 (Ch.01-06)

Steven is an average guy living an average life until he comes into possession of an odd plant. Steven begins to suspect something is odd about his new plant when it grows into a massive pod and a voluptuous woman emerges from inside.  She says she's a nymph, that Steven will be one, too, and together they will grow their forest.

Hi all!  After a good while down in the word mines, I've cobbled together the first six stories from Nymph.  I'm going to attempt to not over explain things, but I do want to point out a few thoughts behind some choices.

The first goal was to remove the episodic nature of the original set.  Getting rid of recaps and redundant descriptions that were necessary when writing these with big gaps of time between them.  Particularly from #3 to #4.

The second most significant change regards Chrissy.  I wanted more distinction between the different nymphs so she gets a character overhaul to become the primary point of communication with the Seed (for now).  Along with this, much of the ambient voice of The Seed is pulled back.  Gives it room to be a little more alien and slightly sinister as a result.

Third, no second Seed.  Originally the plan, as can be seen in the original #7, was to set up Carol as an antagonist who took the Seed's gifts for her own power.  Something similar may still happen, but the context for it is going to be quite different.

I tried to keep track of roughly how much was changing, but that was taking more time than the actual changes.  My guess would be about thirty percent of the overall writing is different.  That effects a small, but significant shift in the path of the story.  It also updates the writing, gets rid of some clunky stuff, and hopefully ties it all together better than it was.  

Next up the gang will be brought together, the issue of "earth thirst" will be addressed, and Emily Rogers will finally get to reappear in the story that Crystal hijacked.  Happy Reading!
