I genuinely think these 4 episodes could've been cut down to 2 or 3 and increased in quality rather than lowered. They have so many repeating scenes that don't add much to the overall arc, time they could've used to help us get to know 1A a lot better. Downtime and filler aren't necessarily bad as long as we get to learn about the characters. Take CSM for example, there's an entire 2 minute scene of Aki waking up, putting on coffee, making breakfast, reading the newspaper and smoking, and it's all to estabish his character. He's meticulous, precise, he as a routine and an order in how he does everything, contrasting to Denji who barely wakes up in time and then Power who is a chaos gremlin incarnate from the moment she arrives. Half of class 1A I barely know anything about, it's really a shame that they wasted this much time on repeating scenes that say the same thing that an earlier scene already did, rather than give us some downtime with the class of them just interacting, and not just preparing for this one festival, but chatting amongst themselves so that we get to know them better.
