I also want to throw in my vote for amphibia to be added as a possibility, its a wonderful sister show to owl house.

It also has unfolding mysteries, compelling world building, great music, appealing art style, fun humor and satisfying character development. Not to mention the LGBTQ+ representation! My favorite thing about Steven Universe is the way it tackles and explores different types of relationships between the characters. The show just seems really up your alley, I'm sure you'd have a great time watching it.

I will say that pretty much every other reactor on Youtube is reacting to it, where as the reactions to Vox Machina have slowed to a trickle (season 2 of Vox came out a year ago). You might get more eyes on your channel by doing Vox (the Critters on Youtube will show up in mass) while the crowd of other reactors are doing Invincible. Also, the characters are so well written and voice acted that you guys will love doing a deep dive into all seven.

2024-01-02 04:24:37 +0000 UTCI would probably recommend Vox Machina the most, it has a fun balance of comedy and character building and it’s probably the easiest to get through given it’s only 2 seasons at the moment with the usual 22 min episode length (SU & AT are fun but very long and have a lot of filler). In terms of recommendations not on the poll though, I feel like you guys would LOVE Infinity Train, it’s a great follow up after Owl House and Gravity Falls imo with a good balance of mystery and great characters.

2024-01-01 20:55:45 +0000 UTCThrowing out two complete and fairly short series full of great character dynamics worth considering are Hilda which is 3 seasons and 1 movie and kipo and the age of the wilderbeasts also 3 seasons which got criminally underlooked because it mostly came out in Shera's shadow. If you genuinely enjoyed Shera there is a lot in Kipo you would enjoy as well. Finally I'd also throw out if you are up for something a bit darker and more violent then the Castlevania series is fantastic. 1 very short season and 3 full seasons. A 2nd series with new characters is currently 1 season in and a 2nd on the way.

As for animated shows Invader Zim is a fun one, I also think Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated is one of the better Scooby Doo shows, and if you're interested in superhero shows the 90s Batman The Animated Series is absolutely amazing.

People say it has a lot of filler episodes in season 1, but I think they’re really good for character development and world building, even if not super plot heavy, and I know you guys are really good at analyzing that sort of thing. And considering you’ve seemed to like the “filler” episodes in similar shows even more than the general fandoms do, I think you’d do great with Amphibia. (Plus it’s one of those shows where once it gets good, it gets GOOD, yknow?)

I'm a huge critical role fan and it is a very fun show that really captures what its like to be a D&D party. Though I will say, of the three campaigns, campaign 1 is the one I've seen the least of. I'm super excited for the Mighty Nein animated show (campaign 2). If Vox Machina are the heros of the realm everyone knows by name and songs are written about, the Mighty Nein are the secret task force working in shadows to protect the world from threats they don't even know exist.

With a few specific exceptions (like Avatar), it's fairly niche. That's not to say they can't watch other stuff, but when I think about the other poll options (like Invincible), pretty much every other reactor I follow / have followed has an audience that does (or would) enjoy that type of content. Meanwhile, I can't picture YaBoyRoshi and his audience, for example, watching SU or AT (there would likely be a lot of complaining).

It would take too long to get to the "meat" of both shows, if I'm making any sense (this is coming from someone who likes AT's early seasons). Compared to the other choices that they SHOULD be veering towards, they're not even close. Not to mention they're WAY too long and take a really long time to really come together. Again, sorry to fans of both. If you enjoy them, that's fine.

2024-01-01 18:11:18 +0000 UTCI've had my fill with this PG stuff. Time to move on to more mature shows, and Legend of Vox Machina is a GREAT place to start. It's a DnD show (which Kenny will enjoy) heavily featuring and scripted by Mathew Mercer (which Montana will DEFINITELY enjoy). Add on the fact that it's by the same animation studio behind Legend of Korra and sports a KILLER voice cast (a couple of which you should recognize), and I can't think of a reason for you two to NOT watch it next.
