2023-11-02 20:34:33 +0000 UTC17:15 @letts react : so this is where watching with subtitles wouldnt have confused you : in the subs, the written text translated says "Don't lose your focus tanjiro, this demon must have killed thousands of people and has to be an upper rank, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to dodge A HASHIRA's attack." What tanjiro is immediately realizing here, other than the fact that the demon snuck up on him and a hashira, and therefore is strong, he must be an upper rank and has killed thousands of people to get here, so whatever is going on right now with the cry baby demon, it's an act or something more ominous and the demon IS a threat and should be taken immediately with 100% focus and tanjiro has to attack too.

Tanjiro is the only one here who has witnessed an Upper Rank being decapitated and surviving. His callout to Muirchiro to not let his guard down after decapitating the demon was critical as Muirchiro would have no reason to believe he hadn't just iced this dude.
