Going to add on to this because I was thinking it over some more. Aizawa is probably one of the worst people for Todoroki to fight. Not sure if it's happened yet, but its mentioned that Todoroki relies way to much on his quirk and when using it he tends to just stand in place. Unlike Deku or even Bakugo, he just straight up does not know how to fight without it. So once its taken away, he has nothing unless he planned something ahead of time.

Also, you ended up skipping over the part where recovery girl calls aizawa a "softie" because she recognized that he PURPOSELY allowed himself to get captured trying to help momo gain confidence (which is what she, herself, noticed and questioned. So it wasn't ENTIRELY her being hard on herself) finally...the joys of cats! Lmao

In my opinion, Momo is one of the worst people Aizawa could face in class 1A because she can set up her quirk ahead of time. Once she makes something its there to stay. So long as she has a plan he literally doesn't have an advantage on her (which is how she won). I think the only other person in 1A less impacted by Aizawa is Invisible Girl (both because she's a mutant, so being invisible is who she is, and because he literally can't see her.)

I love how Todoroki and Yaoyorozu's final exam taught Todoroki to trust others and taught Yaoyorozu to trust herself.

Yeah exactly. Though it's a huge part of his character arc. It's nice how at the beginning he strictly uses his ice and is very cold to people, but as the series goes on and he embraces his fire, he becomes a warmer person. Easily top 5 character for me

One thing I always have to remind myself about Todoroki and his social interactions is that he was purposefully kept away from his siblings, and was likely not able to socialize much during his childhood. So when he has these socially unaware moments, it only makes sense
