Filler is original content created to buy time for the manga to get ahead and has no input from the original author Anime canon is original content based on material mentioned, but not seen in the manga and usually has some input from the original author Sue did an internship, we didn’t see it, the studio said this is what the internship looked like, Horikoshi said great I love it that’s now officially what happened. Thus anime canon instead of filler

2023-11-13 03:00:45 +0000 UTCThis isn’t filler it’s anime canon, Horikoshi himself canonised the episode and added Selkie the manga as an official character

2023-11-13 02:55:54 +0000 UTCThis episode is anime canon not filler Filler is non canon content created specifically to fill time in order for the source material to get ahead and has no input from the original author Anime canon is original content based on material mentioned, but not seen in the manga and usually has some input from the original author In the case of this episode Horikoshi liked the episode so much he canonised it and added Selkie to the manga as an official character

2023-10-21 01:04:13 +0000 UTCThe opening is okay, but the next opening is still my absolute favorite.

2023-10-17 15:20:45 +0000 UTCSeems legit 😂

2023-10-17 02:15:20 +0000 UTCsee the trick is, if it's good, we call it "anime original content". It's only filler if it's bad.

2023-10-17 02:12:17 +0000 UTCThis is filler, but it at least is relevant to later episodes. Plus, if the plan is to watch all the movies, this first filler ends up tying into the setup episode for the 3rd movie.

2023-10-16 01:52:46 +0000 UTCThanks for at least giving the opening a chance lol. I don't expect you to like all the openings. I just think its a good thing to give all openings a shot. Plenty of instances where people listen and watch an opening they originally didn't like and after a few times a few episodes down the line they fall in love with it. Not saying this happens all the time but it can. I think u get what I mean tho

2023-10-15 21:14:16 +0000 UTCIn naruto some of the fillers get referenced, like the isobu arc and the saiken arc

2023-10-15 18:04:19 +0000 UTCLol yeah some filler is a different show entirely. Mech Naruto happened, never forget😂

2023-10-15 17:34:57 +0000 UTCWe signed up to watch them go through the shows they watch in the way they see fit. If they want to watch stuff like this "filler" which it barely even is as it's referred to along the way, it's their choice. We shouldn't tell others how to enjoy their hobbies.

2023-10-15 10:40:58 +0000 UTCWhy? They're so fun and enjoyable

2023-10-15 09:06:22 +0000 UTCOh okay, then I understand. Having so many irrelevant episodes, maybe even multiple in a row, I can imagine it getting very annoying.

2023-10-15 06:01:08 +0000 UTCThe line I draw personally with longer shows is that if a filler is absolutely a throwaway adventure that will never be relevant or referenced again in the overall plot or themes, I skip it. I believe this one is referenced later in the anime so I'd consider it worth knowing about. If you look at a bunch of other longer shonen shows like Naruto or One Piece, there are whole-ass mini arcs that are fillers and literally nothing has changed or is ever referenced again, which is just a waste of time.

2023-10-14 23:37:22 +0000 UTCwe just didnt want u to skip the intro :') its funny cuz this intro is actually the first one i liked immediately on my first listen, whereas the first two took me a few listens to get into but it seems like its the opposite for others and im in the minority there lmao... i get that the song isnt rlly hype tho, i just love it

2023-10-14 23:16:31 +0000 UTCFillers became hated in a legendary way by fans due to shows like bleach and Naruto spamming them so the show can catch up to where they were in the Manga and most people wanted to see the main plot than fillers and that reputation never went away

2023-10-14 22:47:56 +0000 UTCPersonally, I skip them only if it’s completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of the show / if they’re terrible (ie the Naruto fillers were bad back in the day. And there were like 90 of them)

2023-10-14 22:38:16 +0000 UTCThis didn't feel like a filler at all! Its nice to see what other students are doing.

2023-10-14 19:44:14 +0000 UTCI don't understand why you would skip a filler episode. If you enjoy a show, you would want to see everything it offers, even if it doesn't continue the main story. But often it develops side characters, like in this one. It's just additional content of the show you like.
Keyblade
2023-10-14 19:30:46 +0000 UTCSomething y'all might find interesting, just as a quick aside, would be to go back through the intros and look specifically to Deku's relation to All Might in them as the series goes on. It's been a minute, but I think this is the first one where they start to be put on somewhat equal ground, visually.

2023-10-14 18:25:42 +0000 UTCWait wasn't this a filler episode? I would prefer it if we skipped all the fillers.
Markub El Jaden
2023-10-14 17:15:09 +0000 UTCI'd definitely recommend watching the filler episodes. Some of them are pretty fun, and a couple of them act as "prequels" to the MHA movies. So, if you plan on watching the movies, you should definitely at least watch those episodes.
Gestrid
2023-10-14 16:10:15 +0000 UTCThat reference was also a filler episode. The reference episode ties into the third MHA movie.

2023-10-14 16:09:07 +0000 UTCIt's because jt was never shown in the manga

2023-10-14 15:45:34 +0000 UTCHuh?? In my opinion this isnt a filler episode. The froppy internship gets referenced later in the series and i dont know how anything related to bakugoes temper management with jeanist can be counted as filler. i do think it is in the wrong spot tho

2023-10-14 15:00:17 +0000 UTC100% true, such a great detail to why certain heros have certain extra skills

2023-10-14 14:42:03 +0000 UTCPeople have mentioned that Uraraka would be the strongest hero if she wielded a giant hammer because of the conservation of momentum and how her quirk works.
Gwendolyn Vrisala
2023-10-14 14:33:53 +0000 UTCAlso at 8:53 you were talking about how heroes need to compensate for when they have specific quirks, think about stain, all of those fighting skills were his and his alone, the quirk just paralyzed his prey

2023-10-14 14:13:38 +0000 UTCFirst Mha I’ve watched on time, but I’m absolutely loving this show
