I'm not just referring to this episode, I'm talking about the show as a whole how Mable never appreciates that Dipper is constantly ruining things for himself because they inconvenience her and never returns the favour. She never ruins anything for herself to help Dipper because if something goes wrong for her she has Dipper fix it which ends up ruining something for him.

Imma have to disagree with that notion for this episode. The whole point is that he should have never tried to go back in time at all. He was basically treating Wendy like a prize to be won for fixing his mistake, which is not okay even in the slightest. Why does he get to decide that Wendy shouldn’t date Robbie just because he doesn’t like him?

Throughout the entire show Mable helps Dipper a handful of times whereas Dipper is constantly putting himself in harms way and screwing up his good things to help Mable. She rarely if ever fucks something up for herself to help Dipper and is usually the one hounding him to fuck up his good outcome to help her.

Mabel did nothing wrong, she tried to help Dipper and everything. She didn’t even bother him about going back, he did it on his own. Everyone always blames Mabel for the choices Dipper makes of his own accord… it’s annoying. Their dynamic is actually very strong considering how they both try to help each other out consistently.

If I gotta be honest, I think the right choice was to get waddles over winning the toy for Wendy. Wendy is never gonna date dipper( he’s to young for her). The better choice is to save an animal from a potentially abusive situation.

I like to imagine that Mabel was living normally during that month, but since she knew when Dipper would be showing up, she made sure to go back to the totem pole to put on a show. Soos' comments on the last one were probably scripted in advance.

Three interesting facts: 1. Time Baby was first mentioned in "Irrational Treasure" as a "enormous, evil, time-devouring baby from another dimension... frozen in an Antarctic glacier. Fortunately, glaciers never melt, so we should be fine." (You guys actually paused to read the document that has that quote in it at 18:39 in your reaction to the episode.) 2. While "The Time Traveler's Pig" was the fifth episode to be completed, due to production issues with an earlier episode (I don't recall which one), the staff working on the show were able to go back to earlier episodes and insert Blendin into the background of the episodes he would time travel to in "The Time Traveler's Pig". For example, you can actually go back and spot him in the crowd in "Headhunters" when Stan is giving his speech about his new wax statue. 3. That was indeed a reference to "Babe". It was Alex Hirsch's favorite movie when he was around 10 years old.
