It’s not like the Army is trying to hide anything from him. You can’t convince fascists to be nicer, their entire value system and national economy is based on racial apartheid. He’s just one in a long historical tradition of fascist collaborators who never realized that they’re going up against the wall next. Which is amazing because he’s literally already had his commanding officer attempt to execute him extrajudicially.

He says it super clear in this episode "Denying everything is our society is pointless". He's not wrong. Britannia has already won he sides with them to try and prevent more killing and be a symbol of the numbers so they can have a better life under Britannian rule. Hell it took someone with literal magic powers to stand up to Britannia. Britannia is evil but Suzakus reason are actually pretty sound.

Just to clarify, she wasn't saying that Eleven paintings shouldn't be displayed. She was expressing frustration with the deceitfulness of it. They have all the paintings hung up together, like the Elevens are equal and have the same opportunity to be chosen. But behind the scenes, she's directed to _not_ choose a painting from someone that has any heritage other than Britannian. The Elevens don't have a chance at all, the Britannians just pretend they do to placate them.

To be clear, I don't think that should change anyone's opinion about Clovis; I just think it's a much better idea than "he appreciates art"

By anime standards it’s a bit lazy and it’s actually pretty rare. Not a big deal but not all criticisms is nitpicking because it’s not perfect (not that bb and aot are perfect). Sometimes people just don’t like certain elements but they don’t have to filter their criticisms.

2023-08-30 14:52:35 +0000 UTCTBC I don’t like this intro to the anime mainly because it feels lazy, since they used the same transitions from previous intro and changed music which isn’t as much of a banger although it can kind of grow on you as is the case with a lot of anime intros you can tell with the last two intros they put their all into them this seems like they were like “well if Im forced to make an intro I guess I’ll do this”. Overall CG has very iconic intros this one and the next just aren’t my favorite although at least they didn’t copy the transitions a third time.
