Don't doesn't outright say it in the show, but kallen is incredibly intelligent. She's not on leleouchs level but she has above normal intelligence

I totally agree with Montana. Suzaku wants to change the system from within, but you can't change a system that is already rotten. From what we saw, up until now, Suzaku blindly follows orders without second thought. He didn't make any suggestions for improvement of his People's life, while Lellouch really stepped up and try to bring change with the help of his Black Knights. Suzaku is a naive idealist who thinks if he shows his oppressor how good of a slave he is, he would win his freedom back, or be given the same rights or treatment as the Britannians, it's ridiculous. Britannia is a tyrannical government that stripped Japan (and other countries) and its People of their identity and reduced them as a mere number. You can't change a system that doesn't recognize you as Human. You can't bargain with the emperor who think People are unequal and sees you as a second-class citizen. Suzaka's idealistic idea of changing the system by becoming one of its cog, is unrealistic and foulish, it shows how immature he is, while Lellouch's pragmatic approach grounds him and compels him to use more practical methods. Lellouch's thoughts about Britannia are more complex and nuanced, which shows his maturity. He even admitted that Britannia has brought some sense of stability in Japan and he doesn't want to kill all Britannians, but only destroy the empire and its leader. **** This prompts a recurring question for you, that should be answered every upcoming episode of Code Geass : which path is the more effective Suzaku's or Lellouch's and has your opinion changed after seeing the consequenses and possible outcomes of both of those approaches during the progression of the story. I look forward to hear your thoughts on it.

I hired an ex-con as a dishwasher for a kitchen I ran once. The dude was in his 50’s, and had first been incarcerated in 82’ for a dime bag of cocaine. Literally 20 years. Got busted at a block party at 16, tried as an adult under crack sentencing exceptions in Louisiana, him being black definitely didn’t help, those laws were basically created to send black teens to jail. The guy hardened up during his first stint, got out and started the corner life, which had him back in prison in less than five years. By the time I met him he’d been in prison for over half his life. Fuck this clown ass country man.

Actually it wasn't even necessarily Lelouch acting like a dick as he wasn't wrong - If some Britannian noble kids (which would include at least Lelouch and Kallen, if not the bullies) were hurt in a fight because of the hot dog guy, the hot dog guy would probably lose his business/job. Moreover Lelouch did help the hot dog guy in the best way possible - using his geass to make the bullies leave the hot dog guy alone from now on, though no one but him (and C.C.) would know he did.

20 years for drug possession. Thank god that's just a fictional world 🤡

Sean

I'm surprised that they didn't get what Lelouch was doing with the whole hot dog guy situation, Its not that he didn't care it more because Kallen was getting suspicious so he was acting like a dick to throw her off about him being Zero.

TrueWarriorJak

Fun fact, Lelouch may be a touch masochistic... I mean he SMILED after getting slapped by a pretty girl... Yea, he was into it. XD

That device was a jet injector, a way to deliver drugs into the bloodstream without breaking the skin. They're real, but they've been a sci-fi staple since Star Trek's hypospray medical devices.

A California Hot Dog has toppings like avocado slices, tomato slices, feta cheese, sometimes barbecue sauce, etc. Look up a recipe online for more.

"WWE move". Yea it's a Russian Leg Sweep :).

Excited for the next episode

KingPin

When I first watched this show back in the day, this was the first episode that got me to tear up; specifically that scene at the end with Kallen and her mom in the hospital. Edit: the "been there" from Kenny after Kallen slapped Lelouch and he smiled about it....nearly made me spit out my water lmao

I've always thought Refrain was named for the musical term: You relive to the high notes of your life, again and again. Seems pretty 1:1 to me.
