Have you or Montana any theories as to why the series is Code Geass, and if the title is of significant importance in the series itself?

Jack Harper_Games90

Are you going to react to Code Geass Akito The Exiled in-between Season 1 and 2 and Code Geass Lelouch Of the Resurrection there all part of the story

The Pig

What do you think the speech Emperor Charles Vi Britanna is giving is at his son's televised funeral Says about him, not just as an emperor but as a father? How do you think his parenting style would have effected his children?

Jaé-De Milton

If you looked at the Code Geass world map in the show opening, what area does Kenny & Montana reside in?

Raul Iggynashow

@Raul and I'll add a SPOILER WALL FOR KENNY SPOILERS AHEAD isn't that something he says literally? I remember someone saying something about the Strong surviving?

Peter Amet

Filler is used annoyingly to refer to non Canon by anime people, but generally filler is like filling its not the meat and potatoes. To my understanding. So you can have filler in Breaking Bad even tho it's not a Manga. But yeah anime people use the term to mean 'not manga canon'

Peter Amet

Yeah definitely. I'm interested to hear their thoughts about the subject and was interested by y'alls thoughts and glad the conversation was super nice :)

Peter Amet

Wasn't the manga adapted from the anime, and shows alternate timelines? Wouldn't that mean that every episode of Code Geass is canon, as it's the source material; and therefore there is no filler?

Daolord Badlands

Good point, I guess I didn't see it that way but was the line " we are born different so we should discriminate and inequality is the way forward what I emphasized in the speech outrageous when you're looking at it from a human standpoint which you can clearly see Lelouch and the Japanese people not agreeing with? To them that speech was outrageous.

Keshan Fonseka

Charles' speech isn't outrageous and his view is aligned with "Nature's Law of the Jungle," where the strong survive and the weak perish. In the jungle the Lion King Mufasa also shares this same view as he tells his son Simba everything within sight of this valley is your territory and all the animals in it are your subjects. Emperor Charles equates himself to a lion king in the jungle.

Raul Iggynashow

Racism is a big theme this episode, with Suzuku being introduced to the student council via lelouch do you think the harassments will continue? Mirroring this, if we do “defeat/change” Britannia, the racism won’t just automatically stop so do you think Lelouch’s and Suzaku’s goal is even achievable within their lifetime?

SouthCoast

That's a very interesting insight honestly. I wonder what Kenny and Montana would feel about the Ceremony speech

Keshan Fonseka

I'd like this question mentioned even if Kenny just says it in the pre amble. This is probably the first anime show you've watched with proper filler so explaining the concept to Montana would be interesting to see. You guys have seen Breaking Bad so a similar comparison is The Fly episode which was made due to budget constraints however in Japan you get season orders and can't stray from it. If you write 22 episodes of plot you need 2 fillers to fill the airtime basically.

Peter Amet

I'm obviously not agreeing but this isn't outrageous nowadays it's probably aged well as a villan goal you can relate too as many people do think this way in many places. Not to the extreme but 'we're different' is something I've seen said quite a lot as a defence of what I'd call racism.

Peter Amet

Big Daddy Charles noooo

Peter Amet

Totally serious question, are either of you simping for anyone yet? I used to simp extra hard for lelouch, as an example. <3

Fukkyu Bisch

Do you think at this point in the story, we the audience are supposed to "like" Lelouch?

Zach

This is the first of a handful of "filler" episodes Code Geass has. They focus more on humor and character / relationship building along with minor plot development. What do you think of these more comedic interludes within a show as serious and dramatic as Code Geass?

Sibelius

At the end of the episode, the Emporer of Britainia made the most outrageous speech by saying since we were born different we are allowed to discriminate and inequality is the way forward. Like they're not even trying to hide their racism. The only possible way for Lelouch is to kill this tyrant. It's not like there is anyone who will put him in jail. he's the most powerful man in the world and the ruler of the most powerful empire in the world. Do you think Lelouch's goal to get rid of him is the way to go in order to free the Japanese people from oppression or do you think there is another way he could approach this?

Keshan Fonseka

I pray Kenny don't get spoiled, between AOT (which spoilers have passed, Death Note and this) CG is the last show people love to spoil for them to watch.

Peter Amet

Do you think Lelouche's seemingly wanton use of his Geass will come back to bite him?

Daolord Badlands

What are your thoughts on how the students reacted to Suzaku's presence at their school?

Daolord Badlands

What do you think about Big Daddy Charles' Passionate speech on the nature of the world?

Daolord Badlands

With everything that occurred this episode has your opinion regarding any of the Ashford students changed for the better or worse?

Darthwin Wright
