Joy Project: Sketches
Added 2023-04-12 23:36:07 +0000 UTCI did it! I drew all 171 word prompts that you guys shared with me for the Joy Project! (This is a giant collaborative fiber art piece illustrating the things that bring people joy)
I numbered each of the words that were submitted. Here's some of the sketches.
114 Floating
Some words I'd realize "Hey, this other thing I drew would actually double up with this new word pretty well!" so some sketches have multiple numbered concepts by them, such as the one above. No. 111 Exploring Gender shows hermit crabs with their customized shells. No. 120 Discovery shows a naked crab transitioning from their old shell to their new one. Have you ever looked at a hermit crab without its shell? YEEHG.

I'm working with a new drag performer and she's actually writing a children's book about hermit crabs as a symbol of gender and transition. How cool is that??
