Today I want to talk about stuff more than showing new faces (I'll still show a new one for the sake of it but it's not the main goal of that post :x)
There are two major things I want to mention about The Hunter 2.
First of all, about the concept of slutification. I detailed everything in a previous post so I'm not going to explain everything again but while I was making my renderings, I realized that it was an opportunity that I kinda underestimated.
I did mention at some point that once a girl was slutified, you could fall on her randomly in town while she was doing naughty things, right? I've always planned those scenes as "quickies". What I mean by that is that unlike the major scenes of the game, you don't have a context, an introduction, a development, a finish (and even sometimes an afterward.) The goal of those scenes is to be quick: a girl is having sex, you can stop to watch it and that's all. Unless the girl is Kaya herself (in which case, you can't really leave without the scene to be finished x)), the scene is supposed to occur independently from you. It was happening before you arrived, and it'll continue after you've left.
There's a major value to those quickies: they're muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch faster to create than regular scenes. Usually for a global scene, I need between 5 to 20 pics depending on progression etc... Here 1 to 3 pics can be enough. So I kinda fell in the trap of making much more than I initially planned: as a result I'm still rendering content as of today (while I should've finished some days ago.) I know me and it's obvious I won't be able to implement everything in that single update, but the good news is that while I had planned a quickie or two, I can easily implement 5 or 6 now. I've also realized that taking that quickie road even for Kaya was an option and it's a PERFECT opportunity to create "quick" situations (as in "not having to rely on the main scenario") in which I can feature her with different clothes.
So here's the new deal: Change of clothes will NOT be a thing in TH2 (at least not as a regular gameplay element that you'll be able to do in every scene.) In exchange (and also because that exchange is a huge part of the reason I'm not making clothes variations available as it's too much work), there will be more content in the game allowing Kaya to change clothes. Those clothes changes will be locked to those specific settings, but who knows? It's not impossible that in the future I hold polls so you can vote for your favourite outfits for particular scenes :)
Anyway, now that they're ready I can already tell you that Kaya AND Halcyon will have new outfits for some quickies in the update. I might tease Kaya's at some point. But for Halcyon, you'll have to play the update :p
Now the second thing is about the brothel:
There are still MANY things to work on but one of the good things about it, is that we're still at the beginning of its development. All in all, we didn't go back to it for almost a year with Hime so we had a real fresh view on it when we checked it back.
Here's the thing: Vitamin Quest 2 was released in the meantime. For those of you who didn't play the game it happens that the goal of the heroine of the game is to get pregnant to repopulate the world with her own kind. However, this time around, there's a second game in the game where you play as a guy and you... run a brothel... And for that you have to... turn women into sluts... So you can hire them... No kidding...
I'm kinda happy the release of VQ2 was only in December 2021 otherwise people would've said I've stolen the whole idea :x
Anyway, it was impossible to play VQ2 and see the analogies with The Hunter 2. They're way too huge. As such, I prefer warning people right now: yes, you might find an idea or two from VQ2 that'll use in TH2. Not that I plan on plagiarazing the whole game, but now that the two games are going in the same direction, I'd be stupid not to borrow an idea or two to make things better.
One of the reasons I'm doing this is the following: Back when I wanted to implement the brothel in TH2 at the very beginning of the dev (so before it was even accessible to players), I wanted a very simple brothel management, the kind of thing where you just need a couple of clicks. And it's actually the case. Basically you only need to choose the girl. But I was so focused in making that part simple that I didn't realize I had made the rest more complicated that I originally wanted. Not complicated as in "hard" but complex as in "with multiple layers". The whole crafting system is the best example. We have a one click system to select a girl for the night but on the side you have a whole crafting system where you need to scavenge stuff and craft items to decorate a room. The gap is insane.
So I took the following resolution: in the end I'll do what I first wanted to avoid and make the brothel a real game inside the game (as it is in VQ2.) Fear not, though. I don't mean that it's going to be harder. No, you'll still have to select a girl for the night as the base system. It's just that I'm going to expand the possibilities on a larger scope so you can have more things to do. The final goal being that the brothel is enjoyable enough that a player can actually stop playing the main quest of TH2 just to have fun in the brothel. It's going to take time, we've been through a lot of things with Hime to reconsider what was already done, what could be improved what should be ditched etc... So the brothel will still change a part of its root for the next few updates. I apologize in advance for the trouble it might cause with your save files ^^'
But I have a clearer idea of where I want to go with that brothel. It's going to take a lot of time to finish everything, but in the end, I'm sure the result will be awesome. When we have a finished plan for it, I'll expose a couple of the planned changes (not everything cause we have to keep a bit of it for the future.)

Do I hear the sound of sighs? He he, let's not do men bashing 8D I know you'd prefer me to show new women, but I also spend time working on men. And of course, poor district means homeless. This is Pablo, one of the 4 homeless guys I designed for that update (you'll only see 3 of them though, the 4th one will be for later.) It doesn't look like it but making homeless guys is hard as fuck. Between ripped clothes and dirty skin, they're a huge pain in the ass (I'm not even mentioning the skin conflict problems I had for their dick...) At least, they're now done.
I promise that the next post will be less text and more pics :p
