There will be blood... I mean, polls... (and a streaming too.)

I'll first mention the stream to get rid of it as it's the fastest thing to mention.

Tomorrow (so Sunday 20th March), PeakJump and I will be holding an exceptional stream. Why is it exceptional? Because you won't see us working but playing. We'll both duo stream Elden Ring at the same time. We'll be online tomorrow at 2 pm (UTC+1) and we'll stream for how long we see it fit. We wanted to try something a bit different. We'll see how it goes. It's excessively rare for PeakJump and I to be playing at the same game at the same time so we're taking the chance.

The chat to follow us will be the Picarto one, though. I'll be streaming through console so I won't be on my PC and I'll be unable to follow Twitch's chat.

One last thing: I'll demand you to keep both PeakJump and I spoiler-free from game's content. We enjoy discovering the game at our pace and we don't like spoilers. Due to that, it's also a safe bet to avoid mentionning my playthrough too precisely as I've played more to the game than Peak. Thank you for your understanding.

Okay, let's move to the second part of the news, as it concerns Slice of School.

We've been discussing with PeakJump about a couple of things concerning the game and we came to a possibility that sounded doable during the development.

For those of you who are new around let me give you a bit of context:

I've always been against patron-focused polls to decide the content of a game. To me, it cancels a part of the game creator's view and while some people have no problem dealing with it, I don't. Things often feel shoehorned on my side and I don't like it.

I made an exception for Slice of Venture 2 back in the day. I tried something that could work as an in-between. People could vote but I kinda remained in control of things. Basically, people could propose idea and I selected only the ones interesting me and then people got to vote for their favourite choice. The result was Ayame's cum bath scene.

That was a one-time thing that went pretty well and we moved on. However, things are a bit different for Slice of School.

For those of you who played v0.1, you know that the setting is a bit more flexible than with my other games. After considering the question with PeakJump, we actually reached a conclusion: There IS a possibility to make patron-oriented polls for the game content without it being too much of a problem on my side. And I have to spoil the end of v0.1 to explain things better. So if you haven't played/finished v0.1, skip the spoiler zone.

You see, the scene between Ayame and the Tapir isn't meant to be some sort of one time thing. It has always been planned that the end of a cycle would reward the player with a scene between a girl and a test subject. We were supposed to change the coupling at each update.

Moreover, and I have to spoil a bit v0.2 content for that, we wanted to implement the possibility that, sometimes, the concerned animal can be released in the campus leading to a possible extra scene with another girl somewhere else.

Those two elements are actually what we've been thinking people could vote for. You'd be able to choose which animal would be implemented in the future update and you'd also be able to decide which girl would get her chance with the Tapir (in that case) in the next update too.

As you can see, we're not talking about scenario-breaking things. I'd have to slightly adapt the behaviour depending on the coupling but all in all, it would remain the same global idea than what you saw with Ayame. This way, you can participate a bit more and I can keep my own preferences as in both type of polls, I'll be the one providing the animal list and the girl list.

There is still the question of how we'd implement those votes. For SoV2, there was a voting power where the value of the vote depended on the pledge value. It's extra work but it feels more fair that the weight of a $30 pledger weighs a bit more than the one of a $1 pledger. That being said, I don't think I'll make an increase of 1 per tier. I'll probably come up with a proper system in time.

Meanwhile, know that the first of those votes will actually come very quickly (after I've made my post about The Hunter 2.) So stay tuned.
