Hello everyone!
I'd like to warn you about something not related to TH2 first: I do NOT recieve a mail when someone posts a comment on Fanbox (unlike Patreon). So don't be afraid if I take some time to answer, it's because I have to check manually for those comments.
Now that this is done, let's proceed.
This post will contain informations about the future of TH2 more than actual informations. But since I'm bringing bad news, I wanted to come with something so I brought some pixel animations with me ^^'
Because yes, I have some bad news. There won't be any TH2 update planned for the coming months. I spent hours trying to search a way out of this problem and at a moment, I had to make a choice: Either I put SoVO on the side to be able to provide an update of TH2 before I start working on SoV3 OR I focused on SoVO to finish it (meaning I'd never have the necessary time for the next TH2 update.) And I REALLY didn't want to have both TH2 and SoV3 launched with a pending side project that could end up being never finished (especially considering SoVO is meant to be the entrance door to the SoV universe.)
I'm perfectly aware it comes at a price: you guys have to wait even longer for TH2's next update. I'm really sorry about that m(_ _)m Sometimes there's no good or bad choices. So feel free to unpledge if you want to (and thanks to those who'll stay.) The only compensation I've found is that I'll offer SoV3's first version to all the +500 Yens pledgers and not just those with the combo plan (so feel free to lower your pledge level too.)
SoV3's first version is meant to be released for Christmas. So I'll work on TH2 again starting January. Of course I'll post content whenever I can (like today).
Talking about content. I've commissionned nito, the pixel designer to create a bunch of animations for the next update. So let's talk a bit about what to expect:
I know that Kaya looks like a psychopath like that, but it's not what you think ^^' Starting the next update, Kaya will have to start scavenging her own material (you know, for the material list in the status screen.) Kaya will basically own a tool to scavenge 2 of those materials. The axe being the exception: it's meant for wood only (after all, there are 15 elements ^^'). When Kaya finds something from which she can scavenge elements, she'll use the appropriate tool on it to destroy it and get the material back. Considering the setting, don't expect to gather wood through trees, it's forbidden :x You'll have to chase a bit broken fourniture and stuff like that to get wood.
There will also be a small improvement system in the game: all tools will be updatable up to two times. Updating them will grant you more material when you scavenge using them. This won't be Minecraft, though, don't be afraid. There won't be stuff like "waiting X seconds before the thing is broken". It'll be a just a few hits and it'll break, no matter what it is.
Now about the other animation:
In order for the progression screen of the night at the brothel to be less dull, I decided that some animations will be randomly showing over the progression bar of each girl. Each girl will have 3 possible animations (2 "normal" ones, and a more hardcore one that will unlock after the girl reaches a certain rank.) The guy has no face because it's meant to be playing totally randomly, no matter with whom the girls are. This is purely graphical unlike the axe animation that serve a real purpose. But I thought it would be nice. I hope you'll like that small idea :)
That's all for now. The next time I'll come up with videos if everything goes well. They'll show quick sequences of how the brothel should work.
