Little update about the current state of things
Added 2020-04-21 12:10:33 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I'm about to enter the "crunch" period of Naomi's Past's update so I have no idea how things are going to be for TH2 in the coming days. Hime and I have been working on tweaking some things for the first update. Among those things, we've added the names of the girls under their faces in the mini-map when it's displayed full screen. I've also made some slight changes due to... hm... it's hard to say that gently... "Lack of understanding"? of some people. Like the fact that talking to Léonie over the desk not triggering her presentation wasn't bothering people who were then complaining that they were stuck at 30 people out of 31... That was because the papers in front of Léonie are were also a triggerable element... So I removed those... (the overuse of "..." is intentional :x) Normally, the current content should've been enough to deliver something to you in the coming days but we actually went a bit further in terms of additions/corrections so I've renamed that update as 0.1a cause it's going to be big enough to justify a new name. Beside the small corrections/polish elements, it will contain a new menu element that will work as a sort of encyclopedia with informations about all the characters. By adding that I will change the first quest of the game deemed too "unmotivating" by some people into something more "friendly". Which means I have to rewrite everything in a whole doc and that takes times (especially considering this is an encyclopedia so beside the new infos based on the ellipsis between the two games, I also have to report a bit of stuff from the first game to give a better context (I rather say this right now, I'm not mentionning things I now find too cringey for the game.)) So that update should have those elements added (I guess it should come out early May?) And parallely, I've also started working on the extra quest meant to "make you wait" until the next update. I've started making the rendering but DANG, is it taking long. Just rendering 5 pics took me a whole afternoon. Not because renderings are long but it takes ages to pose. The good side is that this will definitely be a big scene (I'm at 7 pics and the two charcters barely started, so I still have to render AT LEAST 10 more pics for the whole scene.) Needless to say that considering the time it will take to write the quest and render everything it will probably be the only content addition before the next update. So it's 50/50. You'll only have 2 small updates before October (one for polishing and one for content), but at least the one with content will lead to the first big scene of the game :p
