Talia's Rework

Overall, there are very few characters in The Hunter 2 whose physical rework are linked to the needs of the scenario. Of all the girls I've presented up to now, only Akane and Paige have their design dictated by consequences of the first game. Talia is one of them. If she looks like she's going into some expedition (all she'd need is a backpack) it's because that's exactly what she did. No spoilers here, you'll know it in the first minutes of the game: Talia is the only girl to have actually left the village after the Free Folks' attack. It doesn't mean we won't see her (we'll meet her right away), but the reasons for her departure are what make her unable to come back. Anyway, that's why clothes-wise I opted for something much less fancy than her original set of clothes. It had to be functionnal and it also had to drop the whole gun thing (then again, for a reason.) That's why I went with something simple that was quite the gap with her previous set of clothes. I wanted her new look to show that she had changed through the year gap that occurs between the two games. And of course that also means changing her hair. Dang did I hate her hair in the first game. Sticky-looking, having strange shapes at some point... I can clearly see how my mindset evolved between the beginning of The Hunter and the end of the game: I was looking for more realistics looks rather than random ones I had created in the first place. That's why I chose that haircut. Length-wise they looked the right height if Talia didn't cut them after a year and shape-wise they looked like how she'd look like with them being natural. Well the result is really interesting. To me, it's almost like she's a new girl. And I've only changed the clothes and hair. The rest is identical. It means that I've reached my goal. She looks much less crazy and much more serene. Talia's one of the character I had originally created for the sake of having a fucked-up girl in the village, but as I worked with her on the last updates of the previous game, she kinda grew on me so I wanted her to evolve between the two games, so that she could become a "true" character. Now I just have to make sure her story in the game is as important as any other girl's.
