Talos Rework

Howdy Patrons,

Today's post is be all about Talos and the upcoming future changes we have for him. As the oldest Myth in development thus far, he has shown his age, both artistically and in gameplay. We already have shown off his new model publicly in the last open test as well as his new updated Visual Effects, but we aren't done yet!

We took in the feedback from the open weekend and decided on a path forward which includes reworking and modernizing a sizeable amount of his kit while staying true to what players love about Talos and spreading it throughout the entire kit while removing some of the frustrating parts for all players. Along with these changes he will be getting updated Animations and Sound Effects, as we know his are some of the worst in the game. 

Talos's updated kit features some of the same gameplay themes including recasts on all of his abilities, instead of only 2, and a more straight forward purpose for each ability.

• Ability One: Talos slams his Axe on the ground dealing damage in a line in front of him. This ability can be re-casted to send out a wide shockwave projectile that pierces targets hit.
• Ability Two: Pommel strike the closest enemy to you, dealing damage and applying crowd control (likely a slow). The recast can only be used if the first cast hit a target and it shreds the targets armor.
• Ability Three: Large area spin, similar to what you are familiar with, that pulls enemies closer to him and deals damage. Talos can recast to gain a shield that scales for each enemy hit by the first cast.
• Ultimate: Talos's Ultimate ability will increase in radius but decrease in range. Along with that, if the area hits an enemy it will cause all targets in the area to be knocked up after a small duration.

These changes are still early in development so be sure to be on the lookout for more updates as we present them for Talos and other changes coming before the next test!
