Do you like where the show went or would you have rather L and light continued their duel to the finish of the show? Is there any scenario where you would have rooted for Light the same way in which fans now root for eren in AOT?

Justin Spencer

Light says he knew everything all along and was disappointed in Near at the end of the episode saying he is inferior to L and is confident that he won because he believes he deducted all of Near's moves correctly. He says " Well Near looks like I won" as a way to see their shocked reactions before they die just Like he did with Naomi Misora in episode 7. Do you think he won and outsmarted everyone or does Near have a final trick up his sleeve?

Keshan Fonseka

Now that you two are wrapping up the series, what are your thoughts on Death Note's treatment of its women cast. A common criticism of the series as a whole its that the women are given weak characterization and are limited to either the roles of wish fulfillment/sex appeal (Misa and Kiyomi) or as plot devices (Rem and Light’s sister), especially in its second half. Do you feel this criticism of the show is valid? Potential discussion point: Naomi Misora, the former FBI agent, is generally cited as the exception to this poor characterization, but was killed off early because the author found writing around her intelligence too difficult and is largely forgotten by the narrative despite her ties to L and the Raye Penber case. Thoughts?

As Doctor Strange once said "We're in the endgame now", but will it really end like how Light thinks it will? What are you're guys thoughts?

Titan

Robert A. Caro once wrote "But although the cliche says that power always corrupts, what is seldom said ... is that power always reveals. When a man is climbing, trying to persuade others to give him power, concealment is necessary. ... But as a man obtains more power, camouflage becomes less necessary." What do you think of this idea, and how it relates to Light?

Zak Moran

Do you think that when all is said and done, that Light has benefitted from keeping the taskforce alive? Or would it have been better for him to have gotten rid of them?
