Hello guys.
You know, this day 8 years ago me and buddy Akabur launched the project called Broken Heart Bordello. I feel like it's been ages since that moment. 8 damn years. But what the wonderful days that were. We were studying and having a day job, and in spite of that, we were working on BHB relentlessly. A new update every weekend. 12 updates in total. How we managed to do updates so often? Well, I think it's because we were much younger than now, full of energy and faith in our success. Damn, we both were in different continents (continents!). It was an ocean between us and 18 time zones. It was hard to cooperate but we weren't going to give up. BHB was a new experience for us. It was damn interesting and exciting to work on it.
Since we weren't experienced in creating projects like BHB before, we made some fatal mistakes during development. And main of them: we bit off more than we could chew. The work on BHB snowballed rather quickly. However, there were only two of us who continued to keep working on it. Well, it seems I forgot to mention buddy Lyk who subsequently cooperated our little company on text editing. So, there were three of us^^. We had to sacrifice so many things in our lives. In the end, we found ourselves in deep frustration. We were completelly exhausted and needed rest. And BHB was putted on hold for a very long time. But, inspite of all that, I think back of those days with nostalgia.
And to celebrate this anniversary I'd like to present to you a colored version of good old noir introduction comic for original BHB.
Well, it's not completed yet^^. But I promise to share it in my next Merry-X-mas-and-Happy-New-Year post. And, of course, it will be available to watch on my BHB blog.
Shortly about my current work. I keep working hard on the next chapter. Mostly, writing/rewriting the piles of text and working on the code at the same time. The 6th chapter gets bigger, more various and, I hope, better.
In conclusion, I'd like to thank all my patrons for keeping constantly supporting me. That shitty situation about Patreon and its censorship policy gets on my nerves. As far as I know, some patrons decided to freeze their pledges to punish Patreon. I don't know if Patreon will lose many money because of it. But I'm sure that many creators will be affected and lose some of their income. So, again, my greatest thanks to all my patrons for your constant support.
And that's it for now, friends. See you in the next post very soon.
