NEWS - GOT A SECOND RTX 3090 TODAY :D
Added 2020-12-04 12:13:07 +0000 UTCHi, today I received a second video card, I have already installed it in the system unit and at the moment I am already rendering something on it. Finally, I can forget about the lack of video memory, at least I hope so. The last goal is to find the NVLink bridge for the cards in order to combine their memory, now the 2.9+ blender allows me to do this, and in fact I have 48 (44-46) gigabytes of video memory at my disposal :D

There is absolutely no need to combine VRAM. If you get over 24GB of VRAM in your scene, go cleanup that mess! Congratz to a second 3090, but two 3080 would probably have the same rendertime for half the money. With these card prices they should render 24/7 to be efficient until you have to replace them. I know its nice to have, but really a bit too much if it isnt running nonstop. Your NSFW art is pretty nice, but so far they never come close to 24GB VRAM. So if you arent doing something else in 3D with lots and lots and lots of particles, or 4K/8K video editing you should be good without the nvlink.
