Added 2020-04-08 12:50:10 +0000 UTCHey. In general, I tested this video card all evening yesterday. As a result, this video card works 2-3 times worse than the 2080 video card in Blender[Cycles]. Rendering speed has fallen by half, according to its characteristics, it should be faster 2080 when comparing 1 to 1. But no, it's not better. Today I returned this card to the store and after examination[somewhere in 21 days] I have to get the money back. After I buy 2 2080 TI and forget about this shit already.

2020-04-19 22:36:11 +0000 UTCYou might need a different PC case, to fit the extra fan from the GPU. I have these water coolings on both my GPUs (980ti) and my CPU. I only have two intake fans and the 4 fans to pull heat out from the CPU and GPU (4= 2xCPU and 1x +1x GPU).

2020-04-09 11:21:19 +0000 UTCI know these cards sound amazing on paper but they are just not worth it if you do something like you do. For that prize you would need them to be render 24/7 to produce content before they aren't outdated by a faster "gaming" card at a much lower price. I too have dreamed about getting these cards, but it is just not worth it for a one-person render machine. Go with the "gaming" cards, which are good for gpu renderings as well. Every two releases they are good for that again. If you want some extra power and cooling, go for retailers like EVGA with the "hybrid" cooling systems, the cards stay way cooler and so live longer by full rendering usage!

2020-04-08 20:53:49 +0000 UTCI assume you installed the Quadro specific drivers? Quadro RTX6000 should have the exact same chip as the 2080TI, but more memory and tuned more for calculation. So I would have assumed that it would be equal or better in cycles.

It feels like a gut punch, all the excitement just drains away. Been there dont that. Trial and error, I hope you get your money back sooner so you can start looking into more video cards.

2020-04-08 16:32:44 +0000 UTCЯ хотел титан взять на замену, он примерно также стоит и тоже на 24 гб, но их щас тупо нет нигде, вообще, если только с оригинального стора нвидии заказывать, и то только предзаказ там доступен, это во первых хрен знает сколько ждать, плюс они сами там написали что цена может в любое время меняться, по этому нахер их. Пока что возьму 2 2080 ti, думаю хватит на первое время. Плюс бабки вернут, у меня еще останется на другие финтифлюшки, щас ti стоит в районе 100к Так что если днс мне щас не будет делать мозги то либо под конец либо под начала следующего месяца уже буду на новых карточках гонять и на двух, а может потом и эти 2 обычные 2080 в ход пущу, по сути уже могу рендер машину себе собрать с 4 картами, но надо либо мамку на 4 карты, либо колхозить адаптерами на pci-e порты на доп разъемы. Об этом уже потом буду думать, щас надо сначала этот геморой разобрать.
