Frontier+ Monster: Tenth Angel Gore Magala & Two Page Monster Hunt: The Crimson Eclipse

Hello Everyone,

This is the first combined Monthly Monster and Monthly Hunt post. The reason this hasn't happened in the past was due to the number of early bird patrons I had, that were part of a tier that only received the monster hunts each month. With their numbers dwindling into the single digits I figured it was about time I combined these two posts into one to save your mailbox some space.

Frontier Monster: Tenth Angel Gore Magala

This month’s winner is the Tenth Angel Gore Magala from Monster Hunter Explorer! It’s a CR 30 unknown monster that has extremely limited information anywhere on the internet. Due to that I did what I have for my monster requests. I took the tempered gore magala, trimmed off the mythic trait and combined it with some of the traits and abilities of the Tenth Angel from Evangelion. Its loot table is also a mixture of the original gore's effect (most of them scaled to a CR 30 creature) and some new ones based on the Tenth Angel.

Overall I am extremely happy with it and I hope you are as well. In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the Tenth Angel Gore Magala and a token used for online play. Within the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.

Two Page Monster Hunt: The Crimson Eclipse

Much like last months Monster Hunt being the first CR 11-14 range hunt in a while, this months hunt is the first CR 20+ we've had I'd say a year or so, and the Malzeno just spoke to me as the target of the hunt when deciding on what to create. So in this hunt a group of 14th level hunters head out to the Verdant Hills hunting grounds located near some old castle ruins where citizens are vanishing and crimson mist plagues the area. The hunt itself has some new challenges and a new benefit that I haven't used before, and should make it a fun adventure for your players.
