Frontier Monsters & More: Barlagual

This month’s winner is the barlgual from Monster Hunter Frontier! It’s a CR 11 leviathan that drinks blood to gain additional moves. The barlgual, also known as the baruragaru, is a really interesting fight in the video game. With its ability to pull hunters into a spot in front of it by stabbing its tongue into the ground, spraying a blood mist that reduces your weapons sharpness, it had a lot of utility and interesting mechanics I could bring to its stat block. I honestly think this is one of those monsters your players will talk about after fighting it. Mostly about how scary of a fight it is.
In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the barlgual and a token used for online play. Within the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.
