Frontier Monsters & More: Taikun Zamuza

This month’s winner is the Taikun Zamuza from Monster Hunter Frontier! It’s a CR 8 mythic monster with two phases. The first is slower and tankier, using its heavy shell to soak up damage. After that, it sheds the shell and speeds up, turning into a lightning-covered, tick-like creature.
It was a fun one to make. The CR 8 felt about right for the difficulty, and giving it a mythic trait helped tie the two phases together. You can run it all in one go, or have it retreat after the first phase and come back later for round two.
In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the taikun zamuza and a token used for online play. Within the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.
