Frontier Monsters & More: Landconquest Lagiacrus
Added 2024-07-21 23:03:01 +0000 UTCHello Everyone!
This months winner was Landconquest Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter Explorer! The landconquest lagiacrus is a CR 15 version of the normal lagiacrus. I actually struggled with this one, because I felt like it deserved to be a higher CR, but there are so many lagiacrus already and I didn't feel like it should surpass abyssal. So I settled on putting this version of lagiacrus as a CR 15, which thematically could fit in a game where the party repels a normal CR 13 lagiacrus and then encounters it on land not too long after.
The creature itself still uses lightning, but not in the same way as its normal variant. Instead it sends lightning through the ground causing it to crack and spray searing hot steam or water, kind of like a geyser erupting. Its an interesting monster and I am a fan of a few of the new materials that I came up with this one.
In terms of my plans for the rest of the month. I am dealing with some kind of sickness that been going on for two weeks that been slowing me down, but I still have things to get done and I would say a big breakthrough on my pf2e conversion.
1. I finally finished breaking apart the PF2e items and I believe I have what i need to start making new version of the loot tables from creatures I already made and release the rules I am going to be going with in terms of armor/weapons/other equipment.
2. Getting this months monster hunt out. I plan on doing this tomorrow, I don't have the energy to get it done today because of how I am feeling.
3. Update MHMM and AGtMH with all the last year or so updates and get that released. This should also include the changes to the spotter roles that we have been testing in the HR8 games in the new campaign.
4. Finish all the requests for this month from the higher tier patrons. This includes a new hybrid monster, a Risen Namielle request. So you can expect those coming in the next 9 or so days as well.
Overall I hope you like this version of lagiacrus and thank you all for your support!
