Opinion Wanted: Monster Hunter 5e(ish) but custom classes and spells

So I had a thought while working on the insect glaive feats for PF2e and I wanted to get a feel from the patreon for it. With the potential of WotC moving their ruleset to a creative commons license one of my options is to create my own classes and spells (then make adjustments to the materials and a couple other things).
This would keep it still 5e compatible, so you could still use it with any 5e class or race, but with additional options. My thought might be to take inspiration from final fantasy classes and spells (the mmo and other games), in addition to making some basic classes like "the hunter" for a more standard monster hunter experience.
I feel like this might be the way to go for the project, and if so I could continue making monsters, monster hunts and my 5e work would transition to spells and classes for a bit.
This is a thought and inspiration for classes and spell may change, but I think its a direction we can go and I'd like to know all of your opinion on it by choosing an option below.

I think before this would've been sick as hell and I do love the idea but unfortunately my table's already pretty much transitioned to pf2e so I won't sway the vote at all. Definitely looking forward to all your new content as always though!

The way you have it implemented in MH for 5e works well within that context, but I think it would be a great homebrewed subclass even beyond monster hunter based campaigns. Similar feelings toward kinsect and even lance user.

So making your own classes for your 5e stuff to get some more freedom would be a good idea. It would also give you the free space to develop classes to specifically fit within the context of your monhun content, rsther than trying to kludge in the traditional fantasyland content of core dnd and trying to make it fit alongside the more specialized things you've made. Also will allow for you to alleviate issues of some core classes being objectively better monster hunters than others, imo at least
