Addressing a Grave Violation of Privacy

We are outraged. Recent events have revealed a disturbing trend of individuals speculating about and spreading rumors regarding the personal lives of our contractors. Let us be absolutely clear: this is unacceptable.
Our contractors are talented professionals who dedicate themselves to creating the content you love. They did not—and should not have to—consent to having their personal lives dissected and turned into fodder for gossip. It is beyond reprehensible that anyone would treat their private lives as entertainment, and we are furious that this has happened AGAIN.
If you are disappointed with the delays of Something's Wrong With Sunny Day Jack, we hear you. Frustration over the pace of development is understandable. Frustration over another managerial change that necessitated a studio-wide production hiatus is understandable. Frustration over a lack updates due to said hiatus is understandable. If you wish to unsubscribe, unfollow, or even block us, that is your right, and we respect that.
However, let us be crystal clear: using that frustration as a justification to invade the privacy of our contractors, to fuel rumor mills, or to spread malicious lies is abhorrent. It is a gross violation of their dignity and trust. This kind of behavior will never be tolerated here.
We stand by our team, and we demand that this community do the same. If you cannot engage with us in a manner that respects the humanity of everyone involved, you are not welcome here.

That's messed up! I get it people get upset and frustrated with delays I do as well but that doesn't mean you get to be entitled and do whatever to get what you want. Again I'm sorry people are attacking the team no one should have to go through all that.

So far I can see that it has a lot of work being put into it not only by just Voice actors and programmers. But there's just so much that goes into making games like this. This is one of the best games that I've seen get put together and every other game through this Company is really well made. I just wish the people would be more respectful and try to be more patient. This isn't Acceptable and it's beyond Irrational. I'm so sorry that you guys have to deal with this kind of thing and I hope you know that people that really truly support all the work that you guys do are standing by you guys during this time. I think all of us truly just wanna make sure that everyone involved Is safe and healthy.

2024-11-04 09:47:56 +0000 UTC10hr late but it seems that due to the delay for SWWSDJ, as well as the recent updates for why there's a paywall for Patreon [which leads users to said patreon on other platforms], fandom users on both Tumblr and Twitter (at least from what I could see on those two ends) have been acting out in response. Spreading lies and misinformation, being one of the main acts, about the SnaccPop Studios team members as well as people they've been associated with. This kind of thing is why I decided to leave the Discord servers of this and another game I'm supporting - entitlement ruins things for everyone.

You guys work so hard, trying anything you can do just to make us happy and to show your guys passion to such a project that we are all excited to see and hear about. The whole team is doing amazing; you are giving so much to the community, more than is necessary in my opinion, and it breaks my heart to read news like this. You're all doing amazing, and it's normal for contractors, for anyone really, to have moments where they need to slow down. Life happens, out of our control. Knowing that people in the community are spreading lies and rumors is malicious and unacceptable. Sending you all positive energy, you don't deserve this kind of crap. Very grateful for everything you've done for us.
