Delays on iOS, BIG NEWS elsewhere! 🥩

Hi all you meat-lovers! 👋

It's been way too long since the last update and I want to sincerely apologize for that. 😓

I've got a lot going on in my life at this moment and that last few weeks were really busy. Some important deadlines in my day job, a little bit of illness and a few other things came together to create the perfect storm and delayed myself and thus Charlie. I know this doesn't excuse the lack of communication from my side, so I will try a lot more to provide more regular updates. But there's light at the end of the tunnel! 💡🤩

This Friday I've delivered a big piece of work at my day job and my schedule is now free(ish) again, so I can focus back on Charlie. ❗️

iOS status update 🍎

Sadly, there's been very little coding I was able to do and as a result I didn't get very far.

Most of the coding I've done was around fixing some compilation warnings, bugs and issues that you won't necessarily see in the app, but will ensure that it runs correctly for everyone and there's minimum of crashes.

It's mostly done, so I can now come back to fixing the remaining features (in-app purchases, meatballs earning, balancing minigames and the iPad version). 👨🏻‍🔧

I should be able to give it enough time during this and next week to have it fully ready and I am aiming to release a new build in the meantime, so you can continue testing. I'll post another update later this week with the progress and info on how that went.

Also don't worry, once it is out, you'll be getting the redeem code for the full version as promised!

BIG GREEN NEWS 🐸

Thanks to the support of all of you here on Patreon, I've been able to hire a developer, that will help me get the game running.... on Android! 🎉 I know there's a few of you here requesting it, and a ton more on Reddit so I really can't wait to bring Charlie to everyone, so you all can enjoy beating the meat! 🍖

Given that there's another developer (that I am paying thanks to all of your support on Patreon), this should hopefully progress a lot smoother and faster than myself personally fixing the iOS version.

Mind you, we are developing the game from scratch in the Godot game engine, so it will take a bit of time until it's finished, most likely until closer to December. The good news is that it might end up on more platforms down the line thanks to Godot being multi-platform (who knows maybe even PC/Mac) and we'll potentially be able to extend the game (more minigames?!) a little bit easier than it is now.

We have an initial deadline of October 15th for the first milestone, where the basics of the game should be set up and then we move onto the other areas such as minigames. If the first build is playable enough, I will also set it up for beta-testing for those of you that support through Patreon and have an Android device.
