I always thought the finale was packed, it seems long and tried really hard to be as epic as the season 1 finale but was still a great finale. Still think the season 1 finale was one of the best in TV.

"It's a done deal," line sparked a LOT of fandom speculation, because at the time this aired, the show hadn't been renewed for a third season, after two on UPN, before the WB/UPN merger became the CW. So most of us interpreted it as meaning that the writers knew the show HAD been renewed to air on the new network, but it turns out it was just speculation/wishful thinking on the show's part, too, and also a fortunate coincidence that Clarence's initials are C.W.
