You actually saw Discord once before, though only briefly, in the beginning of "The Deliverer." She is primarily a Hercules villain, who we see here finally got the job Nemesis used to have. Any reason to watch Discord is a good reason. This episode is kind of the Xena answer to Herc episodes like "The Wedding of Alcmene" and "Hercules On Trial" or maybe especially "Surprise," with all the recurring characters showing up.
