The Lamb here is almost unquestionably Christ, but the enemy that shows up may have been Dahak rather than the devil; the figure representing him is similar to what Dahak looked like in "The Bitter Suite" (and elsewhere). It's a little ambitious who or what is being invoked. ... You're right about Cyane being ripped. A lot of people might have liked to see Xena meet Atalanta, but I doubt it would have been allowed. ... Alti is an interesting villain. Magic users are rare in this universe (not ones in service to a god) but Alti is clearly one, and I like that they made her unsexy. Nice job by Claire Stanfield. ... This show can't help but suffer without Gabby. Two episode is enough, I think. 😏

2024-11-08 20:01:43 +0000 UTCGreat 2 part opener. That vision Alti gave Xena pretty much blew my mind. I have other thoughts on it that I'll share later. Xena as a villain can be so damn funny. Lucy makes her almost cartoonish sometimes which I respect because it makes all of evil Xena's flaws so plain. Also, shout out to the northern Amazons. I really appreciate the additional world building that lets us see the other tribes that exist.
