Ryan injures them then thalion starts turning them. If every island has an elite or two that could fight against chosen for a while then he might be able to roll through the rest of the tutorial before they rebel. And maybe finish off a chosen or 20 that over estimate themselves. Others knowing about the curse won’t matter if he can’t finish the trials

Once they've gotten so much support especially some like the blessings that can probably be taken away, its kinda hard not to go against them. Really makes you wonder if the other chosen that seem competent like the vampires or water queen are in a similar position and dont realize what's happening. Because their gods definitly seem like the type that would pull something like that especially if tenebrice has some hold over the thorns to a degree.

2026-01-22 16:41:41 +0000 UTCStarting to think that the Gods only partly choose Chosen based on actual capability and are mostly just looking for people who, when they ascend to godhood, will be easy to turn into pawns or manipulate, they spoil their chosen to the point that they cant even think of walking their own path and are left so woefully incompetent that they cant hope of being successful as a god on their own

Maybe he might be cocky but we know some powerful bloodlines can alter a person's personality to some degree. So what if combined with the training and being chosen by a god along with a bloodline is what made Ryan the way he is personality wise. It would also be sad because it would mean he can't change personality wise unless something happens with said bloodline.
