Blue Post-Surgery Update!

Unfortunately the surgery site got infected, so I'm in a pretty tremendous amount of pain at the moment. Taking a bit more time to recover. Doctor says the worst should be over very soon and the pain will subside in the next couple of days. ๐๐ Trying to stay very still and let local friends help me with cooking/cleaning/distracting me while I heal. I've been playing lots of games on my Steamdeck (Balatro, Traveller's Rest) and reading some books (I'm in book 6 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series currently and just finished Shark Heart this afternoon, which was goofy but lovely and made me cry). When my brain is occupied it's a lot easier not to focus on how my body is feeling. This isn't a surgery that's supposed to come with this much post-op pain but it's not unheard of, apparently??
Thank you for all the sweet well wishes and care packages, I'm focusing on getting better and knowing my bills are taken care of and you guys are fully supportive of me focusing on just getting better just makes it so so so so much easier. Hoping to be better soon because OUCH!! ๐ค
There's another YouTube audio that I've pre recorded and I'm thinking of recording tomorrow's audio for Reddit from my phone since the microphone on that is actually pretty decent. I can't get out of bed currently and my body hurts like a motherfucker but I'm still so horny, what the fuck?! ๐ If I wake up tomorrow in not too much pain there will be a Sunday audio because I'm fantasizing about one of the Reddit audio prompts, if I do wake up in too much pain I'll skip and post some pics instead ๐

Jesus that sucks. Yeah, I remember when I had to get surgery because my foot got crushed by a podium at my first job. Walked on that thing for 6 hours to finish off the shift and my foot was blue and purple when I got home. I spent at least a month in a cast after surgery with pins sticking out of my pinky toe because it shattered. Times like those rest and relaxation was the name of the game. Take you time and get well soon your body will appreciate it ๐๐ป
