Exploring new ideas regarding language learning on playphrase.me

I've been brainstorming some cool new features to make playphrase.me an even better tool for language learning. Recently, I came across Stephen Krashen's language acquisition method, which emphasizes listening to content for several hours a day. The idea is to understand 99% of what you're hearing to gradually build up your vocabulary.
I believe playphrase.me could be perfect for this method! Imagine learning English (or any language) by marking whether you know a word or not, and then getting a daily playlist tailored just for you. It would mix in familiar and new words, helping you gradually challenge yourself and grow your vocabulary.
But that's not all! I'm also thinking of adding a grammar analysis feature. It would start with the simplest grammatical structures and progressively introduce more complex ones. This way, you can steadily advance to higher language levels and unlock new sets of words as you go.
What do you think of these ideas? I hope I was able to convey my thoughts clearly. I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

2024-08-09 11:44:55 +0000 UTCEvgeny, here is a suggestion that would be really great: Get the dubbed language-versions of hollywood movies in Playphrase (e.g. german, french, spanish). Reason 1: Right now, Plaphrase has in each language mostly (more unknown) local movies, yet hollywood movies are often way more popular in most countries. Reason 2: You could then maybe later create a switch, where you could hear the same sentence in different languages. Reason 3: People really like such comparisons. Just look at Youtube: - The Video "Terminator 2 - 'Hasta La Vista Baby' in 22 different languages" has 700.00 views - "'I AM INEVITABLE' and 'I AM IRON MAN' in different languages" has over 6 Million views - "'This is Sparta' in different languages" even has incredible 14 Million views! This would definitly be a feature that would be most fun to have + play with

Yes. wow. now that I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. This is massively interesting and potentially game changing... why not pitch it to DUO Lingo?
