How to make easy good looking sweat on every model

Another short tutorial i decided to make since it's quite a common thing we all usually want form time to time.

Download the Sweat template texture from this post and wat the video on the tutorials folder from the archive.

Long story short: You'll use this texture to wrap it arroudn the object seamlessly and use it into the roughness node with some noise textures to add it a bit of distorsion on the roughness and the use it as a bump map to add a small volume effect to the drops.

Is the file for this work available? It's hard to reference all of the node connections with the video alone. I can't get it to work. Thx!

so??? how much would I need to pay you to do this an make sure it looked good??? because I suck!!! XD just kid I'll give it a shot to learn!!! then if all fails I'll pay you. ;3

Cool, i'll keep that in mind for future updates :3 i'll make a voiced test, but my spoken english can be a bit rusty. But seems fun. I'll give it a try

There's no universal solution for that. What i did back on it's day to learn about ligjtning was to take a look at real life studio lightning setups. Basically they usually use a light from the back to highlight borders and 2 on the sides. Just pay attention to shadows and try to mitigate the ones you don't want and highlight important parts :3 you can also take a look at prolightning studio. No need to buy it. You can check any youtube demo abouy it and you'll see the light setups. But my best advice would be to: iluminate your scene as if it was real life. Ligjt up lamps, use an HDRI if you need exterior lightning and then add the ones you need to highlight the scene :3

works great, now to burn it into my memory

Pealse Gif_tell us how you light your scene i really suck at it . Thanks in advance.

Lapinedours

Awesome, appreciate you making this.

Thanks, I never thought about using something like that as a bump map as well. You really oughta add more written instructions in your video if you're not going to walk us trough it on voice though... D:
