It's weird to think when we started doing ST I wasn't terribly confident at colouring in general. I still feel like I'm bumbling in the dark half of the time but I want to continue experimenting, for fun.

It's an odd one since days up north are very short, you see a range of pinks and yellows like Mikael says. If it was a more modern setting, the kids would actually be going to school in the dark on midwinter mornings. But as we're in 19th century, they follow the sun when it comes to the length of the working day (lucky sods).

But the red/pink ambiance give the scene a late evening vibe, while the amount of light and the short shadows speak more of mid-day. Hm... maybe I'm just confused because I've never been that far up north, where this sort of lighting is common?
